When I first heard about this episode I was a little put off by it. The story of women entering institutions, military academies in particular, which have been all male for many years and meeting with huge resistance has been told countless times in books, ("The General's Daughter") movies ("GI Jane") and what not repeatedly. However I will say that I found this episode very entertaining and I was hooked from the start. The story was very compelling and it did take an old storyline and took it in a somewhat different direction. This episode worked. Eager for part two.moreless

I was interested to see Lil's prespective investigating this case. I thought from the onset of knowing a little bit about Kate Butler, they would be very similar in personality. I loved seeing the glimpses of what Kate put up with and showing her determination of beating the odds. I loved Lil sharing with Scotty what it was like for her coming up through the police ranks. You could see the admiration on his face but also the disgust as what she had to deal with. I like the fact that the gang had several angles from superiors, co-cadets and alumni, but seemingly one motive. The fact that all of the cadets thought she simply walked away simple told me they didn't know her at all. I loved seeing the character turn around for Addison. Scotty's girlfriend Frankie isn't the type to take no for an answer. I don't think this will be the end of it, but on the other hand Kat's has got a date with ADA Bell.moreless

One violation gets you drummed out. Scotty: Pretty strict code for most mortals. Lawrence: That's why on the eighth day, God created PMI.

    • Scotty: (about the cadets) Thought they were supposed to look straight ahead. Cadet Gardner: (referring Lilly) Sir, not every day a pretty blonde walks across campus, sir.

    • Lilly: Male institutions dragging their feet to admit women? Yeah, glad that's behind us. Vera: (sarcastically) Next thing you know, they'll start letting 'em be detectives.
