  • Another great episode of the show

This is one of my favorite episodes of the show. The social backgrond during this episode (1991), the illegal refugees from Cambodia, especially former royalty, and their suffering in trying to live in the new country, and the crack infested society, is depicted well. The mother's wishing to escape and forget the past as well as the present really hit my soul. The aunt's story also wrenched tears from my eyes. This episode also deals with the relationship of a girl with a male father figure, something that is apparently lacking in Lilly's life, which becomes apparent in this episode as Booker points it out to Lilly. (Lilly apparently didn't have a father figure in her childhood, although she does look at photos of her as a baby child with a male figure, probably her father.) I hope Lilly came to accept some things about father and daughter relationship. And, it is always nice to see that justice is served at the end.moreless

  • Another classic episode from Cold Case. This one is a must-see!!!

I actually remember seeing part of this episode a long time and not getting to finish this show. I love the characters in this show. How they crossed with one another and the story was very well-written. A story about immigrants longing for a better future in America ending up losing their dream because of the simple wants of a simpleton. A daughter is left with no parents and not even the heirloom that her parents told her stories about. A stranger that serves as a father figure for the little girl left behind turns out not to be totally ignorant of the lives of her mother. This was a touching and well-written story all the way around. I loved it to death and I can't say enough how Cold Case delivers. This is most definitely an episode not to be missed.moreless

Again no wonder I watch the show as a Vietnamese family is murdered as a then six-year old girl is forced to watch hver parents die one by one. But then as now a teen, she goes to Lily for help with a bracelet that has to do with the murders. And finds out secrets about her parents that shock her a lot! Very good show once again!
