    • QUOTES (7)

      • Adam: Two minutes and twenty-three seconds. They're getting closer.
Jenny: What stage am I in?
Adam: Well, I'm no expert, but I'd definitely say you're in labor.

      • David: Listen, Chipper. Josh is not backwards. He's a good boy. And he's a bright boy. And I'm deeply proud of him. And I'm not going to become the kind of father who pushes my son into a bunch of crap he's not interested in just because I'm an insecure jackass. I'm not. And you and your little digs and backhanded helpful hints aren't going to make me do anything to compromise my son or my own character. Got it?

      • Adam: Duplicate our wardrobes. All the stuff you have at your place, just buy again, and keep at my place. And I'll do the same thing. Shirts, shocks, underwear. Really, it's just like living together, except we'll have two homes. Like rich people.

      • Adam: But if I go to your place, I'll have to wear the same underwear tomorrow.
        Shelley: Wear mine.

      • Adam: I'm sure it's a great movie. But don't you think the title Psycho sort of gives away the ending? I mean, the guy turns out to be a psycho. Big surprise.

      • Shelley: Cut yourself some slack.
Jenny: I can't help it. Demi Moore has ruined it for all of us.

      • David: Josh? He's doing great. He just, uh, he just learned his tenth word.
Chipper: Really? Tommy's already putting words together. You know. Me stand. Mommy come.
        David: Daddy go... please.
Chipper: And he's practically potty trained.
David: Well, I'm sure he's learning a lot at that new Hillcrest pre-preschool that you bought him--uh... got him into.

    • NOTES (2)

      • After this episode, the series went on a two-week breather for the World Series. When it returned in late October, NBC had already seemingly given up on it.

      • Music: "Steal My Sunshine" by LEN; "Me, Myself and I" by Vitamin C; "My Blue Heaven" by Fats Domino; "Walk on By" by Cake; "Circles" by Soul Coughing; "Hit the Road Jack" by Ray Charles; "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing," performed by Allan Franz; "Rodeo Clowns" by G. Love & Special Sauce; "Go Daddy-O" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy; "She's the One" by Robbie Williams. The Vitamin C, G. Love & Special Sauce, and LEN songs were promotional considerations hyped by NBC after the end of the episode and listed in the credits.
