  • How cheese pudding helped.

It was a short comedy series I never saw but would like to very much. I had not heard of it before it was just mentioned in an old Radio 4 programme, "Horne a-plenty" being repeated on Radio 4 Extra ( 20.45, 18/4/2015). Barry Took is listed as one of the writers but according to the radio documentary Barry shared the writing of this and other programmes with Marty Feldman and shared the fee.

The programme went on to say he of the incredible eyes was a vegetarian long before it became a fashion statement and Barry and Marty would often eat supper together at the Took household. Barry's daughter (probably Susan) first served a recipe she learned in school domestic science "cheese pudding" and found cooking alternatives for Marty to be both challenging and soon enjoyable.

The daughter eventually went to work for her father and helped the pair of writers with the Colonel Trumper project.moreless
