  • The missing pieces of a photograph lead Columbo down a trail of murder

    7.5
    "Good"
I enjoyed this film because it was so different to the normal format. In fact, for once, Columbo even gets a 'boot in the face' and is hopitalised.

Columbo is even forced to remove the brown coat and appear more presentable for an encounter (still appeared scruffy!).

The missing pictures appear in numerous ways; stolen, bought, exchanged... I thought that was a good touch to the film.

The manner in which the murderer was found was quite far fetched; to identify his prints on one coin in a parking meter.

I was disappointed with the picture fully revealed, showed the location.

Note that Shera Danese voice (who owns the art gallery in the movie) sounds very much like Tippi Hedren (in Hitchcock's Marnie)
