Episode Summary

Lt. Hanley is captured by the Germans, but finds himself caught up in the defection scheme of General von Strelitz. The general, wanted by the gestapo for his involvement in the plot to assassinate Hitler, plans to use Lt. Hanley to reach Allied lines.

      • Rick Jason was an early favorite in the series, and received a surprising amount of fan mail. Executives at ABC wanted to capitalize on this, and asked director Robert Altman to feature Jason in a solo episode. Producer Seligman, insisting that the ensemble cast always be used, told Altman that he couldn't shoot "Escape to Nowhere"...but Altman did anyway. Edit
