      • After the pilot, the first episode actually filmed for the series was "Any Second Now". Since that episode primarily featured Lt. Hanley, executive producer Seligman insisted that "Forgotten Front" be shown first to better represent his preferred concept of an ensemble cast, despite director Altman's objections.

      • The teleplay for this episode was written by Richard Matheson under the pseudonym "Logan Swanson".

      • This is the show we meet Kirby and for the next five years we would hear " what are we going to do?" "what we going to do now Sarge" More than 1 time we would also hear some one tell Kirby "shut up Kirby" or " Kirby shut up"
