  • Not quite as good as the UK version but early days yet

Only 2 episodes in and it does throw up some giggles but what's really missing is David Lamb's narration- he's the voiceover of the original UK version. But the main thing is that as always they throw in a right mix of characters which means sparks are going to fly at some point. Worth sticking with, can only improve. Season 2 has already been commissioned!
This first week is set in inner city Sydney and the usual types are thrown together-- vulgar, loud mouthed overweight woman, stuck up posh type, gay man-boy overly manicured, slightly bland lawyer type and pretty, young and overly critical girl. Oh and let's not forget about the food. Some nice looking dishes are served up and some real disasters are also presented. You're more likely to pick up tips on what NOT to cook!moreless
