Comedy on the Road

Show Summary

Comedy on the Road ran for four seasons on the A&E network in the early 90s. The show was similar to A&E's Evening at the Improv, showcasing working comics from all over the country. However, rather than taping at the Improv in Los Angeles, the show was taped at various comedy clubs across the country and all episodes were MC'd by John Byner, who won a Cable Ace award for his hosting duties. Some of the comedy clubs featured were the Last Laugh in Phoenix and San Jose, Laffs in Albuquerque, the Riviera in Las Vegas, Spellbinders in Houston, the Funny Bones in St. Louis and other cities, the Punchlines in Atlanta and other cities, the Icehouse in Pasadena, and numerous other venues.
