Coming Home is a television miniseries that aired on the Lifetime Network in 1998. It stars Emily Mortimer, Peter O'Toole, Joanna Lumley and Penelope Kieth. It tells the story of Judith (Emily Mortimer), who gets adopted by the wealthy family of her best friend Loveday (Katie Ryder Richardson). This movie is set in war time, and as the story progresses, the audience witnesses the change and devastation of a once affluent family that has been affected by World War II. Coming Home was filmed in England and was produced by Yorkshire Television. It was written by John Goldsmith, who adapted the novel written by Rosamunde Pilcher. This miniseries tells the story of how friendship and love can stand the tests of time, regardless of the circumstances. Other actors featured in this movie are Anneliese Uhlig, David McCallum, Paul Bettany, Carol Drinkwater, and Susan Hampshire. In 1999, a follow up sequel titled Nancherrow was released in the UK.
