Can anybody explain to me why people rate the episodes so low when the majority of the fan reviews are good? Next episode has not even aired and some people have voted to get it to down 4.4??? What gives?

Yeah, that got my attention, too. I wonder if it has anything to do with TBBT fans

Oops, I didn't see this thread.

Yeah its totally baffling, I don't think any group actually hates Community and would do this.

Actually, there are trolls all over the place. They go through shows that they don't like and automatically vote shows down. Even before they air. It happens all over the place.

It's really insulting and obviously trolls. I got so sick of it I went through every episode and gave every one a 10 out of annoyance to these losers voting down every epsiode! If they were voting fairly I could vote on how I individually liked the episodes (I'd still basically give them tens) but because of this I'd rather try and improve their voted down score to perhaps giving a 9.5 or something.

I agree, I do the same to bring up the ratings!

It's actually kinda odd. I took a peak at Community votes for an episode. There was 140 votes for it's ratings. And there is around 2000 people that 'Check in' on TV.com for the show.

Comparatively, for Family Guy, there are 20000 people who check in, and only 40 votes on a given episodes. Another interesting parallel is the show '2 broke girls' which has around 2000 people who also check in, but also only receive 40 or so votes on an episode.

Now, compare this to The Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang Theory have 16000 people who check in. This show has a similar amount of votes on some episodes with 140-200 votes.

Now, why is Community getting these many votes comparatively? Considering that the score on the episodes are usually around a 6, I feel there's a legitimate situation where someone, or some group of people, are going onto Community to skew the score ratings on the episodes. Does this have a legitimate effect on the viewership? Probably not. But TV.com should be doing something to combat the genking of their system.

Come on, don't bring a rivalry with TBBT...
It's simple: you rate something more easily when you don't like it.
When you like, you just move on. Wen you don't like, you're disappointed and you feel the need to make your disappointment known. If only the (few) people who didn't like an episode are the nly ones to rate, then the rating is bad.
