Corner Gas

Jann Arden makes her Corner Gas debut. Who knew she could run? I think they faked it, but that was a good gag. Here is this really nice lady that is over weight running faster than everyone else, even though they are in better shape.



For obvious reasons, most of the episode is centred on the upcoming fun run. The biggest gag being that Lacey is so bad a runner, even Oscar can beat her. Of course, Oscar is out of shape, but finds he needs to run to prove he is not feeble. That is the second gag since he gets a handicapped license plate so he can park close to the stores.



This second gag is actually the better one of the two. Emma comments that there is no need for such a license since in Dog River every spot is close to the door. She then does the predictable and uses it at the mega mall in "the city". She gets hooked on the ease of shopping with such a close spot, and starts doing tons of shopping.



That is gag three.



Overall, this episode felt a little less humourous than what we have come to expect. I have tagged it as slightly funning than Key To The Future, which says a lot. I am hoping that they did not tape the whole season at once. That way they can read the reviews and change the second half of the season as appropriate.
