  • I always hate it when tv commercials advertise the upcoming show as "a very special episode" but this one was!

Christmas in Dog River. What more need be said? Well, about 91 more word's worth, evidently. This is the first time in the history of Corner Gas that the inhabitants get to celebrate Christmas. And it was, indeed, a very special episode. We had snow. We had Christmas trees. We had the spirit of good will and giving. We had backed-up holiday flights with not a seat left to be had... we had it all.

I was interested to see if they'd actually show any of the characters ~outside~ in the episode, and they didn't disappoint. Not all of the characters, only three: Hank, Davis and Karen were seen crossing the street towards The Ruby. That was it for the outside shots, but there was snow, and it was obvious where they were, and that it wasn't just a set. That pretty much made the whole thing worthwhile.

The story lines... they were good. Lacey's travel was predictable; Wanda's toy quest was funny, and Hank was priceless as always.

Another good episode of Corner Gas, and one worth watching!
