  • okay...

    7.5
Meena's strict father sees how Meena acts when he's not around. She doesn't follow Bahavian traditions and when he sees her performing with Cory and Newt, he forbids her from seeing them again. Cory tries to show his kindness by getting advice from Newt about Bahavian people. Unfortunately, he gives him really bad advice. Victor tries to get Sophie to eat healthy foods, not junk food.

This episode was okay. There was some realistic elements as well as totally wacky elements. Meena's rebellion wasn't supposed to be harmful, as was Cory's "kind" gestures. This episode gets a 7.5 out of 10.moreless

  • Meana is mibeahaving. So is Cory

    9.9
This is most definently my number 1 epeisode of Cory in the House. I think my favorite part is when Nut, Cory, and Meana play the song "I Want to be More than Friends." Anyway this was the first epeisode I watched so this is how I started watching Cory in the House. Even though I like watching Cory in the House I think some parts in the show are just weird.(Like Nut always saying the word AWSOME). Yeah that gets annoying big time. Cory in the House was a good idea to make it like the sequal to That's so Raven.moreless
  • I love this episode!

    9.6
I really like watching this episode. It's great. Meena's father... to me, he is a little too over-protective. He is, don't you agree? About the scene when Meena sings,"More than friends" I really liked her voice, and the outfit that she wore! It looked totally cute on her! And I liked the sound of the guitar in the guitar. But I was wondering if Bahavia is a real country... is Bahavia a real country? I was just wondering... is it?

Sophie... wow. All she likes to eat is french-fries? French Fries are a little too salty... I don't eat them that much. I really enjoyed this episode.moreless
  • This episode was a fine example towards the series.

    9.9
This episode was very sweet and I think the romance stuff between Cory and Meena begun to flash in my mind. This episode was definately a fine example of the show and it was also cleverly plotted. It had good comedic and funny scenes. I ecspecially loughed out loud when Newt accidentally left the background sound machine on causing everyone to start echoing when they spoke, seriosuly funny stuff! The sub-plot inwhich Victor and Samantha had to stop Sophie from eating french fries was also quite good and fitted in the story quite well. This episode is definately worth watching and is a fine example to the show.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • When Meena's father enters the room, you see that the microphone stand starts to go down slowly. Then it goes to a close-up of Meena's dad, but then it goes back to the shot of the stage with the microphone stand all the way up.

    • How could Cory have his own CD already? In That's So Raven he always said he could only play one song.

    • Cory says that he left his drums in San Francisco, but where? With Tanya in England and Raven at college, Victor would have to sell the house. The only explanation would be there are with his friends.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Sophie: (Motions for Victor to come over) Chef Victor, I don't see my french fries!
Victor: Sophie, I'm putting my foot down! I am an adult and you are a child and I say no more french fries!
Sophie: Okay. And I'm telling my daddy that you yelled at me. Whaaaaa! Daddy!
Victor: No! Sophie! No-no-no-no! Look at the bunny! (Makes a bunny out of the cloth he was holding.)
      Sophie: WHAAAA!
Victor: Okay, fine! I'll heat up the grease!
      Sophie: (Stops crying) Thank you!

    • Cory: (to Newt) Man, it's almost time for class, and still no sign of Meena. (fearing the worst) You think her dad pulled her outta school?

    • Samantha: Chef Victor, we have a crisis! The President needs your help.
Victor: Miss Samuels, I am ready! Whatever it takes, I am here for my country. (holds up giant pan and whisk)
Samantha: I'll be sure to call you... if we're attacked by giant eggs!

    • (the bell rings)
      Newt: What was that?
      Cory: That's the school bell.
Newt: Good, so you heard it, too.

    • Meena: So, you guys want to jam after school? My dad said it would be cool.
      Cory: Really?
Meena: Well, he actually didn't use the word "cool." He said, uh, "Be home by 6:00 and don't disgrace me!" Which is cool for him.

    • Newt: Continue with your tirade.
Ambassador Paroom: My tirade is over! And you, Newton, all these years I thought you were merely a harmless distraction!
Newt: Wait, I thought your tirade was over.

    • Ambassador Paroom: What is this? (looks at CD) "Cory's Hot Jamz." Who is this Cory and why are his jams so hot?!

    • Cory: Is Meena's dad serious, that we can't talk to her ever again?
Newt: What part of forbidden don't you understand? For me it the "idden".

  • NOTES (1)

  • ALLUSIONS (3)

    • Episode title: Ain't Miss Bahavian.

The episode title is a pun on Ain't Misbehavin', which was a popular jazz song in the 1920s.

    • Cory playing in a band together with his two best friends is just like his band with Larry and William from the show's predecessor That's So Raven.

    • Messing up the Bahavian banquet:
The way that Cory messed up the Bahavian banquet is similar to the way in the That's So Raven episode The Royal Treatment when Raven messed up the Shakobian wedding.
