Anna Cho, a Korean-American and the daughter of big-time real estate mogul Richard Cho, boards a plane for Korea after becoming annoyed by the weather in New York. Her husband Billy Park, who always longs to escape Anna’s tyrannical and high-handed ways, has been sojourning in Korea’s Namhae for the third straight month under the pretext of overseeing the handover of a resort. While driving along a deserted road, Anna gets lost and runs her car into a ditch. Jang Cheol-su, who lives with his three nephews and runs a small-time construction business whose sign displays the motley title of “General Construction, Architecture, Interior Design, and Engineering,†comes across the stranded Anna on his way home.
