Muriel is seen taking a bath for the first time in "A Night at The Katz Motel." Eustace won't be seen taking a bath until "Night of the Weremole." Courage won't be seen taking a bath until "Queen of the Black Puddle."
A running gag throughout the series is that several bad things happen to Eustace and in the next episode it is like nothing happened at all.
In "A Night at the Katz Motel," they stay in room number 666 1/2. 666 is said to be the number of Satan, so this was either to add comedy to it or to prevent the use of the number.
In "Katz Motel," when Katz holds the racket, the handle has fewer stripes than it does when Muriel is holding it.
Later, in "Klub Katz" and "Forbidden Hat of Gold," we learn that Courage can take off his head and reattach it. In "A Night at the Katz Motel," Courage wanted to get off his leash. Why didn't he just take off his head?
In "Cajun Granny Stew," Courage calls the police. When he does, he dials a bunch of numbers on the phone. Wouldn't he just have to dial 911?
Fox: And one cute little old granny. What! I ain't got me one of them. Well, I'll just have to get me one.
Fox: I was born lucky. (Wheel lands on win). You see, I win. (Courage hits him with wooden hammer.)
Katz: Welcome to the Katz Motel. I'm Katz. Will you please sign in? (angrily snaps his fingers and points to the sign "No Dog Allowed".) No dogs allowed.
Katz: Leaving so soon? (closes door and Courage throws Eustace to him.) I wish you haven't done that.
Muriel: Come on, Courage, we're leaving! The service here stinks!
Cajun Fox: Where am I going to find me a cute, little, old granny?!
Muriel: Is that Cajun Fox stew? Courage, shall we have some?
Cajun Fox: No, no! Fox stew is not for you!
Courage: No, thanks... I've had enough cajun for one day!

During the opening of "Cajun Granny Stew," if you listen closely, you can hear talking in the background of the title card.
When Muriel is leaving the Katz Model, she calls Eustace "Grandpa."
Courage the Cowardly Dog used to have a promo called "Shake Courage, Shake" the first year it aired.
Creator John Dilworth's name is on the top of the list of Katz's hotel guest names.

Motel
The whole idea of the "A Night at the Katz Motel" episode is very similar to the movie Psycho. In a "godforsaken" motel, the crazy owner wants to kill the guests.
