The Curse of Shirley is about Shirley coming to the Bagges house, looking for treats. Eustace slams the door in her face, which makes her put a curse on him. The curse is a raincloud that floats over Eustace. Eustace ends up on the roof, and loses his glasses. He starts seeing everything as a monster. Courage goes to Shirley, and she gives him a mirror. The mirror breaks, but when Eustace sees it, he thinks Courage is a boy without a hat. Eustace gives his hat to Courage, and the curse goes away. This was a great episode, and I thought the part where Eustace gives his hat to the boy was sweet.
Courage in the Big Stinkin' City was actually one of the scarier episodes. Muriel goes to her sitar concert with Courage and Eustace in New York City. They meet a giant cockroach named Schwick, who greets them to a practice room. He makes Courage go get his package, or else he'll open the door, which has something horrible behind it. The scary part is this: when Courage opens two doors, there is King Ghidorah and a shark. When he opens the third door, there is a girl playing a violin, but you can't see her face. She turns around, lets out a screm, and makes a really scary face. This was the first screamer I ever saw, and when I first saw it, I turned off the TV. Anyways, Courage finds the package in the fourth door, and goes on the train. He has to distract the police officer, because the package is evil, but when he gets to Schwick. its broken. Courage takes Muriel to preform on stage, but Schwick chases them. The police arrive, and arrest him. Overall, these were two excellent episodes. Watch it if you never.
