Well the ratings now on Wednesday were horrible. About 1/2 the people that were watching Courting Alex in it's comfy Monday timeslot, tuned in for the show on Wednesday. I myself missed both the Wednesday episodes that have aired.... I forgot it was on!

It was very obvious when they moved them to Wednesday nights, that was CBS's way of putting "Alex" and "Practice" out to pasture for good.

NOTHING has actually stayed on CBS' Wednesday night schedule between 8 and 9pm(et) for longer than a few weeks to almost a single season...and this has happened now for over a quarter of a century!!!!! It's the WORST time period the network ever programmed (this is why most CBS affiliates
schedule their OWN programming and specials during THIS hour). Okay, MAYBE "60 MINUTES II" lasted a bit longer. But that was the exception!

I don't know if has to do with the timeslot more than the quality of the programming / writing. One thing I do know is that The Nanny lasted for 6 seasons on Wednesday from 8:30 - 9:00

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Nanny switched nights somewhere in its run....wasn't it on Mondays at one point?

I may be wrong that the entire run was on Wednesday.  However, The Nanny premeiered on 11-23-93 and ended on 05-12-99, both dates happen to fall on a Wednesday!
