8 episodes were aired, and the the show was put on hiatus. It is still unknown if the show will return, if CBS will decide to continue airing this show. Around 4 episodes are left unaired, for now.

I was in the studio audience for two of the un-aired episodes including the finale. The storyline had a cliffhanger about Scott staying in New York or taking command of his old firefighting unit. Obviously, at that time they were still hoping to be renewed although it was filmed before the move to Wednesdays (3/10/06). While it hasn't been officially cancelled yet, it doesn't look good. Renewal notices will probably be out in the next week or two.
