I totally agree with you. It seems like most (if not all) courtroom dramas have a leading character that carries the show (To me, Eli Stone is the only exception, with all of the characters holding their own). Canterbury's Law is a good example of that, with Elizabeth Canterbury being such a House-like character, but in the end not even a good actress like Julianna Margulies could keep the show going.
