Covert Affairs is turning out to be all bark and no bite as the show has a bunch of senseless violence, but little backstory behind it. Peter Gallagher is either guest starring or recurring on a half a dozen shows these days and his heart clearly is not in this role. But is about more than that. Piper Perabo seems lost half of the time, like she needs someone to hold her hand during filming. There are certain scenes where she shines, and she has an undeniable appeal, but she is just not a capable lead right now.

Covert Affairs is still fun, but I am starting to see that this show is not as good as I thought it could be.moreless
  • I'm still waiting for something big to happen!

    8.0
The show has the chance to be great but it seems like the writers are trying to drag the show out, making me think they don't have enough twists to throw into the Ben Mercer situation which I feel is wide open, or at least should be. After being absent from the last couple of episodes in recent memory, Ben or as I like to call him, the man of the hour, makes his way back into the mix. That was the only noteworthy event that came from this episode and it could have been better if we were told more about Ben and what had happened.

Focusing back on the case in this episode Annie enlists in the help of a former agent who gave up on his agency and lives in seclusion. I don' have much to say about it Piper was once again hot and fun to watch and the ex-agent was interesting at first but slowly lost some of my interest.

I will continue to give this show a chance and make my decision as to whether I will continue to watch this show after this first season finale. USA Network Originals always have great cliffhangers and I know the writers have something in store for us viewers. I really just wish the episodes could be a little more exciting or fast-paced. The Annie and Auggie scenes continue to be my favorite and I think they could use some more Annie Walker personal life scenes. Now I just wait for next week as Jay-Z says, "On to the Next One".moreless
  • I had to give it a 10...

I just watched it and my heart is still racing...I liked this episode very much, it really was racy and full of excitement, somehow all of the characters where involved and they played their part beautifully, I must say that at this point I do not trust in any of them but Annie, it seems that everyone has skeletons in their closets and its just fun and great to see that no one is black or white.

The guest actors were awesome I have to admit that Eriq LaSalle did great just as Gregory Itzin who I think was a great choice for Henri Wilcox and best Ben Mercer (Ion Bailey) finally has a voice and I am more intrigued to know whats up with him...

Annie was great...she is in deed very insightful but I will stay with McCouley's words "...good to go far and foolish enoigh to want to" The show seems to be finding its pace and hope it keeps up!moreless
  • Another amazing, action-packed thriller!

This show continues to blow ourt the big guns, both literally and figuratively. This was an eexciting episode, which brough t Piper Perabo's lover back into the frame. They are using this as an excellent back-up storyline, and it is helping add some mystery into the show.

I enjoyed the scenes at the New York Boatyard, and I thought they really made that chase scenes ereally awesome and exciting. I was on the edge of my seat right throughout it!

I think that the stoyrylines aren't 100%, but this show never fails to add immense levels of draama and action, and this is what makes it so special!

Keep it up, Covert Affairs, and I can't wait to tsee some more! I'd highly recommend it!moreless
