USA Network has been running commercials for Covert Affairs calling it your new obsession, and to be perfectly honest I am hooked on it. It surely has become a show that I am hooked on and will watch every week, but it hardly has been delivering since the series premiere.

This episode was a whole lot of fluff, it was long and drawn out and the action scenes seemed forced instead of compelling and interesting. Their was no juicy dialogue, there was no entertaining mission, all the elements of a good spy series were conspicuously absent.

Covert Affairs is a fun show, but it needs to turn around quickly or its strong ratings will disappear faster than you can say, "Ugly Betty."moreless

I like the actors, the acting and the writing. But I can't stand to watch it.

Why oh why do the producers / directors / camera people think that hand held shaky cam jerky image jump cut swooping zooms never settling imagery is ENTERTAINING?

Maybe it looks good on a tiny video monitor, but on an eight foot wide HDTV screen - it reeks.

I have to rate this show in the abyss of annoyance, despite the good acting and passable writing. Frankly, the camera work ruined the story for me.

I know that this fad will pass - hopefully before the end of the 21st century. Devolving HDTV into bad radio is not going to garner a growing audience. I didn't invest in a HTPC and HDTV projection system to be irritated by unwatchable programming. Is this what we can expect? Ugly "radio" in the 21st century!

Two second framing and frantic editing is totally annoying. I dumped this show from my record schedule - I cannot endure watching it anymore.

Recently, while watching "The Quiet Man", I counted 6 to 8 seconds before edits. It was so refreshing to see stable background, and only the characters in motion. Even when sweeping action was present, the camera was stable, and I enjoyed it immensely. Please please please tell the production folks that nauseating the audience is NOT entertainment, NOT endearing, and NOT going to be tolerated. Driving away your audience is not wise.moreless

This episode spends so much time with secondary characters we'll never see again that it takes away from learning about our main characters.

we spend so much time this episode with characters that we're never see again that it takes away a lot of chances to get to know the important characters we'll spend the rest of the series with. I don't really care about some woman's love crisis as it adds nothing to the arcs of the characters we're seeing every week. This episodes lost a lot of ground early in the season's run to really bring the audience into it's world. A non-essential character episode is great for breaking up the monatony in a series, but not at the expense of the audience getting to know the main characters in the beginning. I mean, if early on the main characters are not given enough depth for the audience to care about them then the series isn't going to go any where. If this episode had come latter once the audience has gotten to know and like the leads then it would have really moved the series along.moreless

Her interaction with the cute guy at a soccer game is refreshingly different. She is not all dolled up and using her body like other female spies do in other shows, but is attractive for her soccer abilities and brains.

When she finds out that she had a security tail it is like the audience is with her in the instant she realizes how inexperienced she is. When she uses some of her personal knowledge to convince the sister of leaving it helps to sway the sister and looks like it was "fate" that she had the correct experiences to help the situation. In all I loved this episode and it is a new look at a popular theme. The show in all is getting better too.moreless

Covert Affairs has started off really well, and this is emphasiseed within the episode, 'South Bound Suarez'. The episode in itself was a very interesting little case, and it combined great action with awesome intensity.

I loved the scenes in the red Ferrari! That was an awesome car, and they really utilised it very well, in my opinion. Those scenes were terrificly constructed, and caongrats to them for that!

The episode was not straightforward, and the ending was a little confusing, but all up, it has edge of your seat action and a very likeable cast. So far, this show seems sublime, and right now, I think that will continue! Great episode, keep it up!moreless
