Covert Affairs has been missing from Australian TV for almost a year, so it is so exciting to have it back again! Something to look forward to!

This was a really incredible episode for me! Maybe it's just because I haven't seen this show in almost a year, but I really loved this one! It had lots of great momenst and it was very etnertaining.

The case was well-designed and it was unpredictable, which I liked.

Covert Affairs has the action part down, they're good at that, but where they still struggle is with the cases lacking a lot of big explosions and with trying to find a way for us to care about them. I don't want to see Annie "working" someone over, that's not why I watch this show. Not trying to sound like the Grinch here, but this episode was weak.

After an understandably failed mission in Venice, and (by the looks of it) temporary bust-up with her sister, Annie goes feral with a hunky Basque ex-pat.

Failures in the field are understandable, but Annie could and should by now have better sense as an agent than to get sucked into liaisons with any reasonably good male who makes a pass at her. In this episode she never seems to have the presence of mind to say no, not what I would expect from someone who is supposed to be a CIA professional.

So one of the motivations for such wayward behaviour is supposed to be her sister tossing her out of the guest room. The sooner Annie gets over this life-changing experience the better.

The series started well. Annie appears to have lost her way, and I for one hope that the writers can find her a path that restores my faith in her. I want to be entertained, not spend my evenings shouting at the TV screen!moreless
