The episode started off with a lot of promise. Covert Affairs was in its second season so obviously it was time for the obligatory hostage crisis episode. That being said, things got out of hand and out of control very fast, and not in a good way. This show usually handles chaos well, but the shaky storyline full of plotholes was really exposed as the hour progressed and the absurdity of the escape plan and beatdown of the guards had me shaking my fist in anger (figuratively, not literally.)

Disappointing Covert Affairs tonight, a show that needs to stick to its generic formula that has proven to give it the most optimum results.moreless

I loved the hostage situation!

A hostage situation like this hadn't been takcled by Covert Affairs generally in the past, so this was a freash and interesting episode, which takes place in Mexico City.

The storyline was very interesting, and also quite easy to follow, and the guise of being news reporters was very enjoyable to watch! I also enjoyed having Ben back, as it added a lot of great drama to the episode!

All up, a really interesting episode. Covert Affairs is continually producing amazing episodes, and I can't wait for the next one! Great work!moreless

However, when Ben shatters the glass, three panes are broken, not just one. This is also seen later when they tie the ropes to the window supports to repel down the side of the building.
