  • The true pilot episode. I can't believe that I'm the first one to write a review for this.

I remember this episode. There really is no point in explaining the plot, as it already is stated in the episode summary. I remember the "What A Cartoon Show!", which is now "The Cartoon Cartoon Show", which used to air new mini-series. According to viewer response, popular shows would be made into a whole series. Many other shows have started on this program, such as "Mike, Lu, and Og", "The Powerpuff Girls", "Courage the Cowardly Dog", and probably a couple more. It amazes me that so little people have seen those episodes. They were very funny and entertaining, and I'll never forget them, back from the good ol' days. I jus t thought I'd write this review because no one else had done so.moreless

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • We learn that Cow and Chicken's Mum and Dad and both just legs and a waist in this episode as the camera zooms out and we see there top half has been cut off.

    • We learn that Cow has been refilling the family carton of milk for years.

    • Charlie Adler voices four leading roles in Cow and Chicken. This includes Cow, Chicken, the Red Guy, and I. R. Baboon. This is unusual as one person doesn't normally voice so many main characters. It is similar to how Mel Blanc voiced many characters in the Warner Looney Tunes series.

    • David Feiss first came up with the idea of cow and chicken when he was making a story for his daughter.

    • This epoisode was banned for the smoking.

  • QUOTES (0)

  • NOTES (8)

    • Seth MacFarlane is the Storyboard Supervisor for this episode. He later went on to make the famous adult cartoon Family Guy.

    • In the Spanish version of the show Supercow says her catchphrase "¡Supercow al rescate!" in English.

    • This is the only time (aside from the 'I Am Weasel' episode 'Who Erased Cow and Chicken?') where we get to see Mom's and Dad's whole bodies and they are no more then just lower bodies.

    • Red Guy's Role: The Devil

    • In 1995, Cartoon Network took a big leap with a new series called "World Premiere Toons". Each week they would air new original short films from newly discovered animators. One of the films was "No Smoking" by David Feiss. "No Smoking" was so different and became such a success, that it was picked up into a series called "Cow and Chicken", in 1997.

    • This episode has, however, been shown several times since on Cartoon Network in the UK, as part of the "What a Cartoon" slot.

    • The last time this episode aired was the week of the "Buffalo Gals/Cow and Chicken Reclining" premiere. This episode has never been seen since then because, in this cartoon, the Red Guy is known as The Devil and Chicken is lured into Hell because he wants to smoke cigarettes.

    • Aired as a part of "World Premiere Toons"
