  • Cowboy bebop another fine example of the the pen is mightier than the lens.

Cowboy bebop isnt the best plot for a film nor is it the most visually stunning anime i have seen but it is by far an away an amazing example of the sophistication in which anime can be executed. This direction of this film is faultless and pacing is achieved through painfully tense dramatic scenes which use slow lingering shots to gag the audience till it sees fit to release then. The actions is never allowed to sully the beauty of this film and delivers high octane moments in ice cold clarity and fearsome orchestration. There was something in this that evoked feelings of V from the near future grim reality of coperationalism to the stalkish villain utterly insane and inthrawlling, a product of societies ills. More than this it was the ethos behind this terrorism, that of personal turmoil inflicted outwardly on the masses that reminded me most of V, a coincidence I'm sure but food for thought non the less.
