If this storyline isn't blown up, then its direction should make Reid a "better" person (however you'd like to interpret that). Given the hiccup in the episode order, the writers did handle Reid's problem nicely, considering all they could work with were flashbacks and a couple last minute edits. Guess what it comes down to is that I have no desire to wait one more week for a deeper examination into the aftermath, you know?
It all started with the Fisher King cliff-hanger. Then Revelations. Now Distress. This show has really exercised my patience.
