The sadistic serial killer of women, Ted Bundy (1946-1989), murdered numerous young women across the U.S. between 1974 and 1978. He twice escaped from prison before his final apprehension in February 1978. After more than a decade of vigorous denials, he eventually confessed to 30 murders, although the actual total of victims remains unknown. Estimates range from 29 to over 100. Typically, Bundy would bludgeon his victims, then strangle them to death. He also engaged in rape and necrophilia. -
Special Agent Jill Morris: What are you going to do, vote me off the island? This line refers to the CBS series Survivor, where contestants are voted off in order to determine the ultimate winner.

Special Agent Jill Morris: I'm trying to protect my city from what could be the most prolific serial killer since Charles Cullen. Jill Morris refers to Charles Cullen as an example of a serial killer who operated in Philadelphia and also killed people in New Jersey. Cullen is a former nurse who has confessed to killing at least 45 patients by injecting them with lethal doses of digoxin and insulin. He is serving several consecutive life sentences.
