It is revealed in this episode that SSA Aaron Hotchner had worked as a prosecutor.
Morgan: (on the phone) Talk to me, hot stuff.
Garcia: Get this, Cochise.
Edward Hill: The fact is, Lynn was already dead. That company killed her years ago.
Gideon: Well, he's raw, broken and seriously pissed off.
Hotchner: But he didn't hurt the son to get back at the mother.
Gideon: Not consciously, no.
Hotchner: You have the opportunity to treat people with the mercy that they never showed you.
Edward Hill: I can't even tell you how little that means to me.
Hotchner: What would it mean to your children?
Gideon: Mr. Fisher?
Eric Fisher: Shrink or cop?
Gideon: Well, I'm an FBI profiler, so I guess I'm a little of each.
Gideon: Roman philosopher Lucretius said, "What is food to one, is to others bitter poison."
Gideon: Confucius warned us, "Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves."
The song played when raiding Edward Hill's home was "Club Foot" by Kasabian. The song heard at the end of this episode was "Wishful Thinking" by Wilco.
Morgan: There's the extortionistÂ… product-tamperer who holds the business hostage in exchange for money. In 1982, seven people in Chicago died from cyanide poisoning after ingesting "spiked" Tylenol capsules. Although no one was ever charged with the murders, James Lewis was convicted of trying to extort $1 million from Johnson & Johnson, the makers of Tylenol. He threatened more deaths if he wasn't paid.
