  • Great gift with a lot of second intentions...

It's Jordan's birthday and Woody gets her lots of balloons and a ring as birthday present. This is huge! A diamond ring!!

He said it was a friends ring but I didn't believe it.

There are two cases today. A guy killed in a jazz bar where the prime suspect is Charlie Davis, the daughter of a famous pianist, and the second one is a nun that had a baby.

I saw that coming, Charlie and Garret. When she started with the Bogart eyes and all that...I thought she was the killer, 4 boyfriends dead, that's suspicious.

But it all lead to the first one, he was the cause of all the other deaths. the brother of Charlie's first dead boyfriend killed all the others so she could fell the pain of losing someone she loved.Good way to get justice...

And that scene with Lily!! It was awesome!! She kicked his ass!!! Nice moves lol

The nun case, her foster brother loved her, they had a baby but she died because of lack of vitamins, her baby was given to a couple and the brother agreed to it later.

That last scene, between Jordan and Woody, she was going to make the decision, I could feel that! So close and yet so far!moreless
  • Not a bad episode, but not overly original either. We've seen the story before, Crossing Jordan just gave it a new twist.

Not a bad episode, but not overly original either. We've seen the story before, Crossing Jordan just gave it a new twist.

The storyline with the pregnant nun was pretty bad in itself: I mean, it's hard to imagine she could have hidden her pregnancy under her robe for 9 months. Let's say she was lucky and never suffered from morning sickness, it's still a pregnancy...

The storyline with Charlie and Garrett was more interesting; but still a bit weak. I didn't like how off the bat, the detective was sure she was guilty and Garrett let one look at Charlie steer him to believe she was innocent. It's so uncharacteristic of him. Yes, in that instance he happened to be right, but I think his reasons for thinking her innocent in the first place had little to do with evidence and a lot to do with chemistry 101. The twist with the cousin was good, if somewhat predictable. I think my favorite part in that whole storyline was Lily kicking some major butt. Way to go girl!

I liked the tension between Jordan and Woody and would have prefered to see that get more airtime instead of the nun - that's how much I didn't enjoy the plot...moreless
  • This was a good show we got to see some of Garret falling in love with someone or just a fling. Woody finaly giving up I hate it cause it looks like he belives she doesnt even want him. Right when she was going to tell him that sucks.moreless

Lets start out with Garret that was a good story line the "Black Widow" I love how they did it thow and im glad she turned out good she was a good character. I felt sorry for the man that was doing it over and over agien to her boy friends. I think they finaly got Bug a woman lol she annoys him enought but I think there perfect together. I love Jordan asked Nigel what he thaught about the diamond ring and all the damn hints were coming and going about just tell him and she finaly gets the nerve to tell him and he tells her, he gave up. But we all know Woody isnt going to give up well not his heart he might stop trying to get to that point with Woody. But I hope they make them in the next season finaly get together even if thell break up I mean there ment to be together. I think JOrdan had finaly came to a point the because the Nuns life and she died after giving birth to a baby . She put her self in the nuns shoes and it was a very good revelation for her.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Goof:When Charlie is pouring a drink for her and Dr. Macy, she starts pouring the glass on the left, when the scene changes, she is still pouring into the same glass and yet the other glass is full, without her pouring anything into it.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Woody: Hey. (Knocking on the door) Is this a bad time?
Jordan: No! Actually I was...just calling you. Woody, I have a confession..
Woody: Yeah, so do I. Ahm...I did have ulterior motives when I gave you the ring.
      Jordan: You did?
Woody: Yeah. I realize it was little over the top but...I don't know Jordan, I just felt the need to do something bold, you know? To get us past this stupid little dance we've been doing for too long. And I thought it would either bring us closer together or exactly what happened. At least now I know.
Jordan: I care so much about you, more than I think you know. That's my problem because I love what we have and I would never want to lose that. I think you're right though, I need to make a choice.
Woody: Jordan stop! OK? I give up, my ego can't take another round of this.
Jordan: That's not what I'm trying to say...
Woody: Please Jordan! I think we are all good, really we are just better off as friends. Truth is if we ever ended up hooking up we would probably kill each other within a week.
      Jordan: Oh, you think?
Woody: No, but if I keep telling myself that...I'll see you around.
      (He leaves)

    • Lily: You didn't see her.
Bug: Oh, I saw her. Women like that...
Framus: (Walks in) You're not talking about me, are you, Buggles?
Bug: No, and stop calling me 'Buggles.'
Framus: He is so cute when he's shy. (To Lily) Isn't he cute?
      Lily: Like a puppy.

    • Nigel: I'll be a rumrunners uncle!

    • Jordan: Is it appropriate for a friend to give another friend a diamond ring as a birthday present?
Nigel: Woody gave you a diamond ring? Well…um…hypothetically if a male friend gives a female friend a diamond ring…ah I would say the male friend wants to be much much more than friends and is applying pressure to said female friend to STEP UP TO THE PLATE!

    • Woody: Whoa, whoa, whoa. A piece of jewelry is not necessarily a declaration of love.
Nigel: Yeah? Even if it's engraved 'I love you forever'?
Woody: Well, yeah, if it's engraved-
      Nigel: Uh huh.

    • Jordan: She's surrounded by women of God but she doesn't trust them or ask for help. Why? Because these women have shut themselves off from the real world. They would rather hide from life than deal with it.
Woody: Oh! (holds hand up as if speaking into phone) Kettle? This the pot.

  • NOTES (1)

    • The murder of the nun is very similar to a situation in the novel Sinner by Tess Gerritsen, In the opening pages, a young novice who recently gave birth is found murdered in a cloistered convent, and the baby is missing. The main difference between the two stories is that the death in the episode proves to be accidental, not murder.

    • In the underground passage, Jordan finds the Mother Superior's rosary and says, "Mother Superior jumped the gun". This is a line from the Beatles song, "Happiness Is A Warm Gun", from the 1968 album "The Beatles", better known as the "White Album".
