A man comes to the morgue asking for help. His father was murdered 40 years ago and he wants to see justice on the case.
Jordan goes with Nigel to Yates' Bend with William Avery, the son.
They are welcomed to the Avery's house and start investigating.
Bill's father autopsy was sloppy, Jordan goes to visit the doctor that was responsible for it. He lies and later they find, in the evidence box, 4 shells in it. Bill's mother only heard two shots the night her husband was killed.
From there they follow the path to Olin Price, the man Mrs Avery saw killing her husband. The doctor admits he lied and that he was the one leaving a bullet in the body and the two extra shells.
Bill wants to stop, he knows what happen and that's enough. Jordan says OK and she and Nigel leave town. they ran into Olin and he looks happy because they didn't find anything. Jordan makes a deal with him, he apologies and she doesn't call the cops because she has evidences.
He apologies to the Avery family.
Back in Boston, Sidney, Woody, Garret and Lily have the death of a terminal cancer patient. They struggle between suicide and homicide but it turns out it was a bit of both. she committed suicide and her ex-husband make it look like homicide to collect the insurance money.
