Goof: During the scenes where the alien entity is taking over some people while avoiding others, it appears that the alien entity is covertly trying to take over the ship. The alien entity leaves written symbols of its language all over the ship before possessing everyone, yet it wants to remain undiscovered.
Eilerson: I hate it when I go to movies with kids in the audience, because there is always someone there that tells me I can't kill them when they get loud! Now, who makes up these rules anyway...
Matheson: [about new uniform] I'm not sure that I will be able to breath in that thing!? Gideon: [grins] Breath on your own time!
Gideon: As Mr. Eilerson says, "the air" is human.
Dr. Chambers: [to nurse] And you. I want you go through full decontamination procedure before you come out of there. Including body cavity decon. Maybe we'll get lucky and find out where your copy of Med Lab regulations went.
Gideon: Personal journal: Captain Matthew Gideon continuing ... it's now three days since our visitors arrived on behalf of Earth Gov's Political Affairs Office. There's apparently some concern with how our work here is perceived back home. They've been assigned to "help" us. Before their tour is finished I may have to kill them ... assuming Lt. Mattheson doesn't beat me to it.
Peter Woodward (Galen) does not appear in this episode.
John Vickery reprises the role of Mr. Welles, formerly the head of Nightwatch, from the Babylon 5 episode The Fall of Night. The only reference to his character's former job is the cryptic line "If anyone knows how to survive political changes, it's me."
This episode, the last one produced, contains numerous allusions to the interference the show suffered.
