  • cant wait till next week. what's that on Nick's face??

    "Superb"
excellent episode with the whole team working together. was enjoying it so much I didnt even realised it was getting close to the "TBC".Although it is a little odd having a two parter at this stage of the season but I love it anyway.

Felt a little sorry for Greg having to trek all that way. He does still seem to get the worst jobs on the crime scenes being the most junior but at least he didnt get punched in the face!

I felt really nervous for Brass and Sofia when they were being interviewd by the detective and Catherine. He really seemed like he wanted to blame them for Bell's death.

I'll be on the edge of my seat all week, lets hope I don't fall off.
  • The reactions to what was happening nearly made me cry.

    "Superb"
To see Brass breakdown like that in the interrogation room was just so sad. For years he has personified the "tough cop" attitude and to see him start crying was one of the best CSI moments ever. I guess I'll admit to seeing Spork (Sofia) cry was a rather emotional moment as well but only because the episode nearly made me feel sorry for her. Like it or not everybody in this case is personally involved so I suspect that we will see more of that in next weeks episode.

Moving on to the not so great part of the episode, Nick's moustache. It should kill itself with a razor and some shaving cream while Nick sleeps at night (or during the day as he does work nightshift.) The sooner Nick gets rid of it the better. Many children right now are huddled beneath the safe covers of their bed trying not to think about what Nick did. They will try to remember the happy, not so scary looking Nick that we all came to know and love. Is Nick trying to make a point that he is an actual cowboy or is the moustache here to stay? Find out next time on CSI.

  • Holy Mother of Pearl! Bullets everywhere!

This had me on the edge of my seat. From the irst moment, when bullets where flying about, to the end when the dreaded "To be continued" flashed on the screen, it was action, action, action.

We get the treat of seeing Brass and Sophia in their full police glory as they step out of their roles as CSI hangers on and get in the thick of the action. Kudos for the added treat of having them act like real people as they process the fact that they were in a life or daeth situation and killing isn't fun.

All the other CSI's found themselves caught in the drama of dealing with the fresh anguish of the relatives in the unfolding tradegy. I am truly looking forward to next Thursday.

  • This is really the reason I watch this show. The twist and turns are quick and paced at ther right times throughout.

I Love this show and they have used 2 parters sparringly in the series so when they come around they really shine. This episode covers a 4 vehicle shoot out that goes through a neiborhood in Las Vegas, there are perps shot and an officer down, in pursuit of the last subject they come across a innocent kid who was shot while riding his bike with the same caliber bullet that the police were using, but all officers claim they found him that way. The community lashes out about every little rumor and the tensions run high through the department when the evidence starts to point tworads friendly fire killing the officer. The show leaves us with the suspect that survied and who got away on the bike being tracked down in a sleazy hotel room and then leaves us on a cliff hanger. I can't wait for the second part. This is my first post so excuse my poor writing.
  • A continuation episode? Is it Christmas?

The show starts with a car chase, and there are lots of fired bullets. We race through the streets of Las Vegas with a New York style direction. In the ensuing stand-off, one cop is killed, and two or three perps are killed, with one escaping. In the confusion, it seems, a school boy is shot and ends up in the hospital.

This episode is about how things get complicated quickly when people die in a large gun battle. Did the cops shoot the boy or not? Were any perps killed unnecessarily? Who killed Bell?

Brass and Sofia are taken into questioning, but their accounts of what happened are realistically shaded by the stress of the situation. The question then comes to the CSIs. They have to sort through the evidence and account for every bullet and every body.

The show has it\'s shares of uniquities. One bullet fired by a police officer manages to jam the handgun of a perp who had one bullet left, effetively saving the cop\'s life. The dead cop was apparently shot by another cop. And worst, but not least, Nick has a mustache.

To end the episode, and to give it a nice \"To Be Continued\" graphic, just as they\'re walking the final perp out of his hotel room to take him to the station, he gets shot in the chest.

The last line of the episode is Warrick yelling, \"Where the hell did that come from?\"
  • Why did I get a sense of deju vu while watching this?

    6.4
    "Fair"
The episode started off fine (no deju vu) even if it did seem a little over the top. However, when the scene happened in the alley where the guy was shot I couldn't help but think I'd seen that scene, with that guy being shot before??? Of course I couldn't have, which makes me think that a similiar episode has already been done - Cold Case for some reason comes to mind - I just can't place it.

Unlike others, I found this episode to be slow moving and (I hate to write the word) ...boring. It just seems to me that maybe this episode might be a sign of things to come - in which case the series should be ended.

Very disappointing part 1, don't really know if I can be bothered to see part 2.

This is one very very good episode. During the beginning of this episode, we saw the scene where the polices are firing guns to three guys. Then they run, after an officer was shot accidentally. Sofia wondered if she fired the friendly shot which killed Officer Bell, and the police department faces a serious trouble when the lab is about to be charges for shooting a wrong guy. This episode is perfect, excellent and amazing. An exciting episode, and I have no idea how should I describe this episode more. This episode is one of the best episode I have ever seen in this series.
  • Best episode on one of the best shows in TV history.

I just have to say that I was very impressed with this episode. I have loved CSI from the beginning, but was getting to lose a taste for the show during season five. I trudged on hoping for more, and I got it in this episode. I think I'm back in for the long road no matter what now. This was my favourite episode, in conjuction with the part 2, of the show, maybe some of the best TV I can remember. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Not only was the action great, the dialoge and writting wer top notch. I like how it brought together so many characters that aren't normaly in the same episode. It was just a big bold episode and something that I think the serious really needed.

I loved this episode, but the description, most likely written by a Sofia Curtis Hater - Sara Sidle Minion, is dead wrong.

Sofia Curtis was on the verge of an emotional meltdown after she found out her gun may have been the weapon that took Officer Bell's life. Sofia never tried to cover up her mistake, and in fact if you watch the entire bullet series, tried to confess to it. Who ever wrote the brief description on this episode really needs to rewatch it, and describe it with a bias opinion, rather then one that paints the character of Sofia Curtis as a heartless **** If anything, the heartless one in this was Sara, who allowed Sofia to leave in the condition she was in (Bullet 2, knowing very well she could have taken her own life out of guilt.

High five for Louise! Her performance in this as usual was brilliant, it really made me feel for, and cry for Sofia.
  • Excellent episode, who did it???

    "Superb"
Well I loved this episode. It is good to see a episode focusing on detectives Sofia Curtis and Jim Brass.

Sofia is a really good character and I really would like to see more of her and get to know her character a lot more.

I love the relationship between Greg and Grissom. It is like father and son and very amusing to watch. Greg has a lot of respect for Grissom and I think it is returned.

Poor Warrick got hit! You would think there would be a bit more security around when someone goes under the tape and starts screaming at a CSI.
  • Wow! What an episode! But, Nick, what are you thinking?!

    "Superb"
Tis was a fantastic episode from start to finish, great suprises and a brilliant story which kept you glued to the TV. But Nick, what's with the moustache? Oh, it looks terrible! But, back to the episode. It was an interesting one which I felt could almost have been done as a Law & Order episode, from that fact that it was more about interviews than collecting evidence. But still, they kept it CSI with some great "CSI Shots" and of course, everyones favourite Crime Scene Investigators putting the pieces of the puzzle into place and setting up for a conclusion next week. I can't wait.

    What an amazing episode.

Grave Danger was my best but this one top it. I was proved wrong when I saw this episode.

I started watching this episode I was amazed with the shootout at the start which in the death of Offcier Bell.

This episode was good and also a tearjerker, especially when Catherine and the detective were interviewing Brass and Sofia in which the shooting had affected both. Great acting by Paul Guilfoyle and Louise Lombard.

The first part of this story ended on a cliffhanger with a suspect killed by a sniper and Warrick says 'where did that come from.'

    Excellant episode!

I thought that nothing could top 'Grave Danger'. I was proved wrong when I saw this episode.

I started watching this episode thinking it was going to be awful. The plot summary sounded rubbish and I really wasn’t looking forward to watching it. Then I started watching it and was amazed at how much I enjoyed it. It was a tearjerker, especially when Catherine and the detective were interviewing Brass and there were tears in his eyes. Paul Guilfoyle showed exactly how much the incident was affecting Brass without being over the top.

The story was so special because it’s the same sort of formula (there’s a crime scene, they follow the evidence to find the killer) so it had all the elements of the CSI we all love with the extra element being that the suspects are characters that we all know and love. You can get involved in the story because you really want to find out what really happened because you know that it's a character you already know. And Paul Guilfoyle was excellent.

  • I'm classifying "out of character" for that God-awful thing above Nick's lip.

    9.0
    "Superb"
Why oh why did Nick grow that thing above his lip, which as hard as I might, can't get used to it. With the semi-long locks and the unneeded mustache, I have to say it: he looks like a '70s porn star! And not of the straight variety. How or why the producers ever let him grow that thing plus longer hair, basically ruining his romanesque face, is beyond me. Every scene he is in I get nauseous with his new, pre-'80s look. The show is still great, acting and stories awesome, but the 'stache has got to go.
  • Damn, damn, damn... edge of the seat material!!

Man... what can I say about this episode that hasn't been said before? Great story, a lot of action and the handling of a lot of delicate issues.

We start we chase scene that ends up in a shoot-out comparable to a small-screen "Heat". After which both Jim and Sofia both get involved in fatal shootings. After this whole frenzy of bullets, it's up to the CSI's to find out what happened. Not easy, considering the sheer number of bullets, broken windows, shot-up cars.

And if that's not enough, the predominantly Hispanic community thinks that the police shot innocent bystanders and planted evidence. Also, a cop gets killed and it turns out it was probably friendly fire. And the way this episode ends... with a cliffhanger, I was all.. yes!! This is how CSI should be.

Great acting, especially Louise and Paul, just two thumbs waaay up!
  • CSI does it again…they capture every emotion in one hour.

With an opening scene that was so awesome I thought I might have been on the wrong channel. When I seen the familiar faces I just knew that CSI was going to prove why they are the best.

With a dead cop and multiple suspects you know it is November sweeps and, CSI is going to top the list. In every episode of every show there is one cast member that stands above the rest, not this time they all have performed and made it seem real. Bravo to the cast.

With the clues in place now all they need to do is listen. Can’t wait for the conclusion, I just hope I am no disappointed…

After 5 seasons one can expect this city of sins is done with interesting stories, but these writers can still come up with nerve wracking storylines..

What I loved about this episode is this: 'cop' side of the story gets as much interest as the inestigation part. Sure, there are many other series who show that part more than enough, but this one is different; it feels different; it feels CSI. Episode clearly shows how people are opinionated and turn hostile towards those who are trying to keep us safe, and on the other hand shows they are also showing the cops are a little disoriented in themeselves. Nice balance, nice storyline, can't wait for the conclusion. Yay!

Another brilliant CSI - great writing, acting, camera angles - shocking ending - can't wait for next week. Is Warwick a wimp or should he have just blocked the little guy's punch. Great acting by Louse Lombard and the bad guy from 3 Guys and a Baby (Brass) - sound track could have had more New Order though..
  • Another fine example of CSI's writers hitting the mark. Tension, suspence, tears.... can i say more? Also, a small dead furry animal on Nick's top lip!

    Where to start?

Well, after an explosive car chase with bullets flying everywhere, comes the fatal shootout which leaves some of the suspects and a police officer dead. Tension is mounting in the local neighbourhood with cries of police brutality.

A teenage boy is found with a gunshot wound and taken for surgery. Has the suspect who got away shot him and stolen his bicycle? The father of the boy is claiming that police shot his son and is rallying the local people against the police.

Brass and Sophie are questioned by an Internal Affairs officer for taking part in the chase and shootout. Brass is almost in tears about the fatal shooting of a fellow officer and Sophie seems to be unsure of what really happened in places.

Meanwhile at the crime scene, after some poor management of the scene by officers, Warwick is first verbally assaulted by the mother of one of the dead suspects and then his brother rushes up and punches Warwick in the mouth.

Back at the lab, the autopsy on the dead officer uncovers something unusual. Was he hit by friendly fire?

The escaped suspect is found in a motel room after being raided and as he is led away a gunshot rings out and the suspect falls to the ground.

Who fired the shot? Was it police brutality?

Then came the second worst set of 3 words that can be shown at the end of an episode like this, the first being, last in series, it was “TO BE CONTINUED”.

    Nooooooooooooooooooo

  • Can't wait until next week.

A really good episode. Good team work by the CSI's. All though if they really want to get it right there should have been better crime scene management by the patrol officers and maybe Warrick would not have been struck. Nick really has to shave his mustache it is really tacky. Brass and Sophia were really getting the third degree. I guess when your a Captain you are supposed to be sitting behind a desk instead of out in the fight doing what you were hired to do. I think the officers partner is the one who shot him. I could be wrong, but in Brass's account of when Bell got struck it looked to me as if the Sgt. turned toward the passenger side with his weapon. But I guess we will have to wait until next week.
  • A pivotal episode. I must say it's the LVPD CSI unit at their finest work.

A pivotal episode. I must say it's the LVPD CSI unit at their finest work. And I appriciate the conflict between the CSI and the locals.

All in all, it\'s a great episode. And all though I hate these \"To be continued\"-episodes, I\'m looking forward to the conclusion next week.
  • Nice plot. It will be interesting to see who fired the shot that killed Bell. And a "To Be Continued..." episode? Though I realize it's a sweeps move, it's still appreciated.

The idea of investigating a death from friendly fire is an interesting one, really brings up the "Who watches the watchmen?" issue.

But anyway, it was really hard to focus on this nicely developed story line because of the hideous moustache that Nick suddenly sprouted. This may have been why he was hiding for most of the last episode, he was so ashamed of the facial hair that was to come. Seriously, the guy looks like the cop from "Super Troopers". You kind of just want to rip it off in one quick pull. Shave it, Eads, shave it!
