I got really creeped out when Sara mentioned that Erin James' mom washed his jeans with Bleach. Given what we now know about the Mini killer - does that mean that the Demetirus James case and the Miniature Killer case are going to connect in the end? It would be interesting to see the two big plot threads for season 7 get together at the end.
Well even though I haven't watched this episode for the second time. I am going to give my review. I can do a decent job. So, Greg,Grissom, and everything else.
I really liked the interaction between Greg and Grissom in this episode. That girlfriend aka Sara of course sure had done wonders for Grissom. Anyway, back to the episode speaking of Sara and Grissom it was a nice little scene they had with the limo. It's good to have scenes where they are working together and not all about their relationship. Not that I don't love those scenes because I do lots and lots and lots etc. Moving on, I thought Greg did really well dealing with Mrs. James. It was awesome that he stood up for himself. I was all go Greg. Oh and must add, like Sara's hat. I am glad this was a lighter episode after last weeks episode (though I completely love last weeks). Brass is awesome in this episode. Nick in between bad haircuts, nice Drops. I believe that's all I have to say for this episode.
The brother of the teenager Greg killed earlier in the season is suspected of involvment in a murder. Greg is taken of the case to aviod a 'PR nightmare'
Greg is having quite a season. In this episode we see a new Greg, a more serious Greg that the lab-rat we know and love. The killing of Demitris James really has him shaken and just as he was bouncing back, his brother is a suspect in a murder investigation! Poor Greg can't catch a break! And to make matters worse he is not only taken off the case, but is being hounded by Mrs. James as having something agianst her family and him 'owing them.' Greg is fed up too, you can tell. He wants to put it all behind him and it just isn't in the cards to let him. Poor guy, he still feels super guilty about it, even though I think he's still grappling with his decison. I think he felt obligated to go easy on the brother.
One limo involved in a shooting & the draggin death of a girl.
I felt so bad for Warrick having to tell that mother about her daughter, but at least he got the call advising that the girl had the wrong ID on her. I was worried they might have another law suit on their hands.
It was interesting to see the dynamic between Greg & Mrs. James. I was glad Greg got to say the things he said to her. She totally deserved it & you could tell from the look on her face that she knew he was right.
I can't wait for next week & another peek into the world of the miniture killer.
I have to say, this one got better as it went along. I wasn't really into it at the start, but I got involved fast. I loved the way the seemingly separate cases tied together eventually.
It was another tough one for Greg, and we got to see some more character development for him. On the other hand, in my opinion there was too much Sofia and not enough of Catherine or Warrick, and even less of Sara. It was a classic case of developing minor characters, only to neglect major ones. Still, I enjoyed the storyline, the dynamic between Catherine and Sofia, and the Brass we know and love.
A man is shot and killed inside his limo and evidence inside the limo points to the brother of Demetius James, the teen Greg killed in self-defense last year.
I really liked this episode. Lots of drama, guns, blood, flashbacks, screaming....wine throwing. Not much GSR, but the banter was cute. Loved the Greg Drama. I was glad there wasn't a huge fight between him and the James family. What the mother said about her son and how he was all she had left, seemed to turn it around a bit. I was proud of Greg for wanting the DA to go easy on the brother. He and Grissom shared a touching moment. What was with Hodges in the field? Gonna pull a Sanders on us there? Guess not. We got plenty of Sofia in this episode so I was happy. She and Catherine seem to be friends and the talk about the napkin rose was fun. I was so shocked about the whole 'throwing wine' at Sofia I felt so sorry for her! Though I don't like him, the undersheriff was right about her. She does keep her cool. And yes he did look like fresh meat. LOL. I hope we get more Sofia as time comes. Can't wait for the rerun!
I'm going to say now Mrs. James really grated on my nerves with the way she acted towards Sofia and Greg. I had to giggle when Officer Michael (I think) made the comment about how fast they spent the tax payer's money.
It amazes me how well they all work their cases and manage to find that tiny piece of evidence that connects the cases together. They really didn't look like they were connected in any sort of manner. Grrr, the under-sheriff is currently on my **** list. how dare he talk to Greg like that!! Gosh, are all candidates for being the sheriff, under-sheriff, and mayor butt-holes, who only think of themselves?....wait stupid question. It kind of freaked me out when Greg confront Mrs. James as she was being escorted out. I was all like, "OMG, what are you doing?!?!" But he played it cool. I definitely liked this episode. It was very well done. I feel happy the writers didn't make Aaron into a total jerk.
Overall I thought "Big Shots" was a decent episode, with some continuity & conclusion to Greg Sanders' character. Meanwhile, Catherine and Warrick work a scene which looked as if a girl had been thrown from a moving vehicle and dragged by the seatbelt. The two crimes end up connecting together as the case really starts to heat up. Earlier in the season, Greg killed a man (Demetrius James) in self defense, and the brother (Aaron James) and mother of that victim return in this episode after his brother is linked to the crime. This leads to Greg being taken off the case, and into a situation where he must defend himself from the continious rath of the victims family. This is another coming out party for the charcter of Greg, as we see him as serious as his character has ever been, when sticking up for himself to the under-sheriff, as well as Mrs. James. Guest star Method Man plays a great part, as well as Sophia Curtis' character as well, as this episode added a lot of depth to her as well. As said, this was a decent episode and a must see for Greg & Sofia lovers.
I loved this episode!! I thought the writing was awesome! The links between the cases was great. The small "sidebars" were very telling. Hodges in the field - scary thought. The scene between Wendy Simms giving Greg the DNA results was a nice moment Warrick and Mrs. Gentry was well done. I wished Gris would have stood up more loudly for Greg to McKeen. Greg's scene with Marla James was a great point for both characters. I think we need to play close attention to Sophia the next couple of weeks - hints at a promotion? We will have to see.
This episode was bad i didnt like it at all!Demetris james's brother was a suspect in a murder and greg was all like trippin! like my homie what up why you been getting in so much trouble! No Just kidding! but greg was freaking out! This guy had blood all over him and he was all like i didnt kill that guy he was like a brother to me. So thats what i though about this episode it was about homies putting a cap in each other! (oh and i forgot there was somthing to do with a girl too but i cant remember!)
While investigating the death of a man in a limousine, Greg finds out that Aaron, the brother of Demetrius James, the guy that he killed in self defense is involved. Greg gets pulled off the case as some friction occurs between Greg and the mother. She accuses Greg of wanting to take away the only son that is left and she makes it difficult for the CSIs to carry out their investigation. Sofia manages to keep her calm after having wine thrown at her white blouse. Greg finally gets some closure as he confronts the mother and tells her the truth about her son hanging out with the wrong crowd. We get to see Greg’s personality as he asks the DA to go easy on Aaron.
This was not one of my favorite episodes. It was kind of dull and the entire ordeal with Erin James was a little disappointing. I think we all expected a incredibly emotional episode sourrounding Greg and the James family. Some parts were a little emotional, but nothing like Fannysmackin'. It was a good case. It got better when the two cases became connected, but it still was not all that exciting. Althought the writers have to save some suspense becasue for the final episodes suspense is everywhere. Even though it did not live up to all of the hype, it was still a nice episode to watch.
I dont know I wasnt a huge fan on this one, I like Greg and all but just wasn't interested in the storyline, I really do prefer Greg in the lab, he was so much more fun to watch and had so much more jokes and showed so much more personality, hopefull he can get past all this seriousness, and get back to the old Greg!!
Aside from the opening scenes, which seemed to be thrown in there for some misguided ratings grab attempt. I thought this was a very good episode. In fact, this episode didn't get a perfect ten rating, because of that scene. I liked the fact that "Drops" returned, and once again he's innocent only by the skin of his teeth. Loved his comment to Nicky, "CSI Nick Stokes, I see you're between bad haircuts." Also interesting how they included the James family in the case. If I had been Sofia, I don't think I would have handled that wine throwing incident with as much aplomb. I was glad to finally see Greg stand up for himself, and still remain the kindhearted guy he is by recommending the DA go light on Aaron. Glad to see that Aaron has wised up, and knows better than to hang out with "Drops" and his crew.
Poor Greg, the whole death of a punk kid to save an innocent has come back to haunt him. I am so glad that he stood up for himself this time, he owes the family nothing and it’s not his fault that mom has two punk kids. So Hodges was sunny when he was Out of the lab, not wanting to do anything and almost acting like he was better than the CSI’s. He is so annoying, but I still laugh at him. More Sara would have been good but I guess I will settle with the little that I get.
This episode was alright. It wasn't that exciting, but I love CSI to watch it anyway. I have always enjoyed how they find out everything, and this one didn't let me down. I just didn't like the storyline. I felt that it wasn't explained that well. I hope the James family will not show up again to be nasty to the CSI guys. All this blabbering about racism and how my kids are great, not bad people like they are, is getting annoying. Atleast, next weeks episode looks more interesting. I'm liking Sophia a bit more, I didn't like her as a CSI agent, but I like her as a cop.
It was a good episode, not one of the best, slow in some parts, but not what I was expecting.
this episode give Greg some closure, he finally stand out, and give him self the oportunity to believe that Demetrius James death wasent his falt.
Definitlly was a episode full of character develoment. Sofia is given a new roll as the under sheriff person of interest and Grissom is getting a little more sensitive, jess i guess why the change??
and I like the little Greg/Wendy flirting!!! yeh LabRat love!!!
Kind of a Greg Saunders like episode as it mainly focused on him. As the mother and son that were met in previous seasons is back. As the son is hanging out with the wrong crowd. When someone is killed in a hit and run and the man claims it was self-defense. Not a great episode. But not bad either.
Perhaps because the writers of show felt they had not put enough emphasis on Greg's trial and ensuing settlement, the James family was unnecessarily brought back in this run-of-the-mill episode.
I understand that many people may disagree with me, but I honestly felt that this was one of the single most boring CSI episodes I have ever seen.
The acting was done rather poorly as well, with the best scene starring Greg as he finally confronts Demetrius' mother. The scene where a fellow lab technician informs Greg of the involvement of Demetrius' brother, Aaron, was overly dramatic and drawn-out. Then they threw in a little flashback scene just in case the viewers weren't annoyed enough.
Hopefully, next week's episode, "Lab Rats", will be much more entertaining.
