  • Great episode!!!

This episode was very good. It was extremely funny but it also had some serious scenes. The scene with Hodges and Catherine was funny and the scene with Nick, Greg, and Wendy in the garage was absolutely hysterical as were the looks on Nick and Greg's faces. The scene with Grissom and Nick, talking about the poem was really sad, Grissom looked so miserable, you really had to feel sorry for him. The scene with Nick and Troy was awesome, Nick handled that situation very well, and I liked how they brought Warrick back and how they made him such an important part of this very dramatic scene as well, and I also liked what Nick said to Warrick, about how they miss him and how he wants Warrick to get his life back on track. Great episode and definately worth watching. The only thing that could have made it better was Sara being in it.

A guy dies after a rodeo. And he supposelly killed a girl before that.

The whole story was nice, but kinda boring for my taste, im definetely not interested in this whole cowboy world.

And im really missing Grissom's investigating and im definetely missing Sara, i stil hope she can come back in some way, because the show hasnt been the same anymore.

The only nice thing was the scene of Nick talking to Troy in the truck, that was very very intense and dramatic, very good scene.

Im expecting more interesting stuff in the next episodes and definetely a lot more Grissom :)

What I like is that from time to time the writers of CSI will inject a lot of understated humor. This episode was typical of that.

The scenario: a bull rider is found dead. He had one ride where he was stomped on by a bull, then found later after the rodeo is closed, foud dead by a busted vertabrae. The fun begins...Grissomm wants to process the bull, can you do it in 8 seconds is the reply (okay, rodeo humor). Catherine and Hodges have an exchange about Brokeback Mountain. There's a big saloon brawl that's hilarious while the band plays on (where's the chain link cage?). Of course there are serious moments and it was nice to see Warrick with a bit part spotting an attempted suicide in progress. Hopefully that will build him back to being a regular investigator.

    Fun show.

And if I may...what gauls me about seeing this episode is that a week ago they had bull riding at Madison Square Garden. There was absolutly no promo for it. I would have gone. I used to go back in the 70's when they would bring a full rodeo to MSG. Damn. Wait till next year takes on a whole new meaning.
  • Not a bad episode nice setting, good team interaction, and the return of Warrick. The country world and more specifically the professional bull riding scene was a good certainly worth the watch.

Not a bad episode nice setting, good team interaction, and the return of Warrick. The country world and more specifically the professional bull riding scene was a good setting for a story. The only drawback being Jill Sullivan's attempt at playing a country gal and a PBR insider. Warrick came back in a good way finding a groom to be about to commit suicide and Nick talking him down was great to see. The team had great interaction with Hodges and Cath having some flirty banter. Good episode not great but certainly worth the watch hope for more conflict and engaging stories in the future but still a good watch.
  • Everything's connected.

Stealing a line from Mac Taylor of NY. In this episode everything is indeed connected. From our first victim the bull rider and then we have his former prostitute girlfriend and we're going to throw in her pimp for good measure. I actually thought this episode was okay. It had it's humorous moments especially with the boys finding the bull sperm recovery devices. Then we have Hodges and Catherine discussing BrokeBack Mountain. Then of course we have the owner of the bulls flirting with Brass. Overall I thought it was great for laughs. This episode was pretty average episode. Which most of them have become.

You know when the summary said illegal bull breeding, I wasn't exactly thinking what they showed. I mean, I figured it was bull/bull not man-helping/bull thing. Freaky, man. Despite my dislike for country, the cowboys are delicious! "You're kind ain't welcome here." Just because she snared the guy before you did doesn't mean you need to be a total cow about it. The bar fight was so corny. The man/bull relationships mentioned many times was a little much for me. Although, Wendy's speech was too funny, mostly because of how it creeped Greg and Nick right out. I feel really bad for what's his face who wanted to marry Tiffany. At least he got rid of Precious Ricky. That dork-head.
  • A good episode and a return to CSI's standalone episode format

A nice return to form for CSI; to some this may seem like a filler episode but for me it's exactly what I want from the show. It was great to see the characters move away from their emotions and focus on a story which was purely about the crime itself. CSI works so well as a long-running show because of its ability to switch between both running arcs and standalone episodes. Also with the return of Warrick in a more stable state of mind I'm hopeful the show will continue on from this fine form.

The story itself wasn't the best or most exciting but held my attention for the length of the episode. It was also nice to see a little more of Nick in the episode as he has been absent from the last few. However I'm hoping for a little more Greg screentime, as he too has been notably missed out on recently. This is perhaps due to the focus on Warrick's storyline recently which has taken much time away from the other characters.

All in all, a nice episode which served its purpose of entertaining the viewer for a good 40 minutes. It's not one I will remember but still one to enjoy.
  • Great story

It was somehow off balance episode I say. The beginning was cathing, the middle part just died off and again, the ending nailed me to the screen. I was almost going to say it was waste of time but the way the ending was plotted and how everything came together, it saved a lot for me and somehow there was a beautiful meaning in this episode, what was so easily to be missed.

So, I think it was worth of watch but nothing too stunning and amazing. The story was good but somehow not well brought out and in the end - it looked little shallow.

I really enjoyed this episode. I liked the fact that it was a pretty much Nick dominated episode as I am a huge Nick and Greg fan. I laughed so hard when Hodges told Catherine that he was a real man because he admitted that he cried during Brokeback Mountain. The look on her face said it all. My favourite scene was definitely when Wendy was telling Nick and Greg a lovely story about a man who had a thing for his animals. I liked that Nick was able to tell Warrick how they all miss him. Hopefully Warrick will soon be back to his former self knowing he has friends around to support him.
  • Not the best in my opinion

I enjoyed this episode to a point. To me since Sara left, Grissom has lost his fire. To me the one thing that has kept grissom going is his love for sara. Since she has left, he lost is passion. He still loves forensics and bugs, it also seems to me that Catherine is slowly being more in charge of the investigations that she is involved in more than Grissom at least. I did read an article about an interview from Peterson about his character Grissom. And he said that he feels that him and his character are getting closer to moving on. Hence, Grissom will retire, and go with Sara, which to me is why Sara will come back, or be at least part of grissoms departure. Like I have said in my other reviews. Alot of people think that Sara will come back pregnant, and with a new attitude about life, but after reading the interview from William Peterson, I think that yes she'll come back with a new attitude but won't want to continue as a CSI, so she isn't surrounded by death again, but she'll be pregnant, and this will get Grissom to leave with her, because remember they are engaged, the writers wouldn't have grissom and sara get engaged, and then have her to leave and never return again.
  • Who doesn't want to see cowboy's wearing tight jeans and chaps? Country music, the hats, the drawl! Loved it, even if it is the last one for a while...

The "CSI Effect" was AWESOME in this episode. The scenes of the body mechanics (bull and rider) was totally cool. As for the show itself : coming on strong; with the quick humor and sexual innuendos. This is the CSI I grew to love over the past 8 years. I still don't see how parents can let their young children watch this show! But then again I'm a DINK and plan on staying that way for a while. So I digress. "Bull" was very well researched and written. Nice to see the gang back in full swing. Nick having excellent mitigation skills. Warrick's is back to work, even though the "office mole" has not been reveled yet. Grissom's is still down over Sara's departure, but seems more open to talk about it. Hodge's forthcoming about his eclectic movie genera (scary). Wendy's demented storytelling. And one of the better bar scene fights I have seen in quite a while. Humor all around. Overall, I did like this episode very much. I hope that the WGA can resolve their contract issues with the AMPTP soon enough, so the rest of the season does not get scrapped.

Maybe it's because I like the cowboy world and for this reason I loved this chapter but I think it's one of the best of this season! I laughed a lot and I suffered watching the bull riding images. All the reconstruccions are really well done and help to understand what exactly happened. I loved the flashback scene on the bar, all the fight was great and tough! I'm glad Warrick is back, for a moment I didn't know why he wasn't there...The truth is that I expected more implication from Nick in this case, because he is quite a cowboy himself. Nick and Greg faces during Mandy's explanation are priceless!!

    Really great chapter!:D
