Grissom (sighs): Where is she, Catherine? It's 110 degrees, she's been out here all day, without water, she's disoriented, she's-- she's dehydrated...
Catherine: She's a survivor.
-
Catherine: I don't see any more footprints, do you?
Grissom: No.
Catherine: I think that we just lost the trail. (Grissom looks around with his binoculars, sees some rocks piled up)
Grissom: Catherine, look.
Catherine: What? (looks through the binoculars, they run toward the rock piles) This is better than a footprint.
-
Grissom: Catherine! I got footprints.
Catherine: She got out from under that car.
-
Catherine (running): Nick!
Nick: No, she's not here.
Catherine: Well, that's good news.
-
(flashback)
Sara (answering her phone): Hello, Gilbert.
Grissom: Hey, we got an I.D on the miniature killer. Her name is Natalie Davis.
Sara: One of Ernie Dell's foster's?
Grissom: Yeah. Catherine and I just talked to her biological father, he said he put her up for adoption after she shoved her little sister out of a tree house.
Sara: Do you have any idea where she is now?
Grissom: No, but with a name it's just a matter of time.
Sara: Alright. I'll meet you at the lab. (hangs up)
-
Sofia (about Natalie): No scumbag defense attorney is gonna make their reputation by setting her free.
-
Brass: I just got off the horn with search and rescue. We've got three choppers in the air with night vision and IR. The weather's getting cooler, a warm body will be easy to find.
Grissom: If Sara's under the car, the metal will conceal her.
Brass: Maybe she got out.
-
(After Sara's been found and is being put into the Medi-Evac)
Grissom: Move over, I am going with her.
-
Sara (motivating herself in the desert to get going): Don't stop, keep going. Come on, four times three is.... four times ... three is ... twelve. Four times ... three is twelve.
-
Sara: Natalie. Natalie Davis. I know who you are. I know a lot about you. You make miniatures. I've seen you before, right? You work in the lab, in the cleaning crew. I'm so sorry about hitting you back there. I guess uh, I have a fear of trunks. In my job you only find one thing in them. We actually have a lot in common, you know. I was a foster kid too. Happy happy, joy joy. (Sara laughs) I do know what it's like to be alone, afraid that nobody's ever going to be there for you.
Natalie (whispering): Ernie was.
Sara: Yes, he was. That's true Natalie. I lost my father too. I know that Ernie loved you. He would not have wanted you to do this.
Natalie (whispering): Ernie loved me more than Grissom could ever love you.
Sara: Grissom. I know what this is about. Natalie? What did you put in the water? Natalie. Huh? (Sara passes out)
-
Sara: What are you doing? (she groans in pain as Natalie sets the car down on her arm. Sara grits her teeth) Don't do this! (Natalie walks away and gets into her car) Natalie! Natalie!
