  • CSI Goes Underground!!

This was another great episode of CSI as Catherine and Warrick head into the Las Vegas sewer system when human remains are discovered. This became a very disturbing case when the strange family are introduced. The angry father, distubed mother and creepy son became obvious suspects from the moment they arrive on screen.

With a house filled with weaponry including pipe bombs the team race against time to collect the evidence they need before the bomb squad moved in, a moment when Sara risks her life.

An interesting episode which makes you wonder whether disturbed people like this really do exist in quiet nieghbourhoods, for our sake I hope not. Another Great Episode. CSI hits top form once again!

Greg is overall my favorite character. I especially love the scene when he was in the autopsy room with Grissom and the Dr. seeing his facial expression was just hilarious. Grissom's case was a little over the top. I meant there was something seriously wrong with that family. Who keeps liquid explosives in their refrigerator? They were all missing some screws, especially the mom. I think Sara was missing some screws too trying to take off door that had six pipe bombs on the inside. Who does that?? The scene at the end was quite disturbing. Watching the father show his son how to make a bomb, sick!
  • bones down in the drain.

Greg went to his first autopsy! And he didnt throw up. I love when he said the stuff in the guys throat looked like the foam in beer. At the crime scenes they find a bunch of explosives. Sara wouldnt leave until they got the door that has blood on it. And there were 6 pipe bombs in the closet! That part got my hert pumping. Then that scene with sara and grissom when he was like im not worried im concerned made me laugh. I thought it was funny when grissom made greg pee in a urine cup and he was like this is csi hazing.
  • Sketetal remains are found in a sewer drain with no identification. The CSI team using their investigative skills identify the victim. While looking into a possible suspect and his home they discover more then just clues.

This episode is like many others very suspenseful and very well done. It follows the team as they collect the skeletal remains of what turns out to be a teenage boy along the sewer line. After identification of the victim the team then gets a piece of valuable information that leads them to identify the killer. Upon reaching the home they find a family which inevitably is linked to the victim. In one of the best exciting/on the edge of your seat scenes is when Sara and Warrick discover Dynamite in a closet. Not wanting to lose the piece of evidence found on the door, Warrick and Sara carefully remove the door from the frame with the dynamite lying on the shelf. Another scene is when the bomb squad discovers nitro in the refrigerator that with even the slightest nudge of the refrigerator will cause the nitro to explode. Gathering whatever they can find the team at Grissoms order vacates the home leaving some valuable pieces of evidence behind. At the end of while Grissom and Brass discuss the family and how a family could become so dysfunctional we see Sara watch the home videos of the family with anger and sadness in her eyes. We get to see a glimpse of Sara's childhood and the abusive father/mother relationship she dealt with as a child. I love this episode not only because of the excitement and investigative processing done which makes this show a hit. But also it brings the human element of the individual characters personal familiarity with a situation. In this case an abusive father/passive mother and angry/troubled son which reminded Sara of her own parents and possibly her own childhood. A great episode to watch over and over again.
  • Makes you fill cold when they alarm becasue of the bombs. Good episode.

This episode starts normal. Maybe even boring. But when Warrick notices the pipe bombs, and Sara doesn't even imagine they're there, ther's when the nerves go in. Then, even more, when they try to take the door away. This is a special episode for Greg too, because its his first time in the autopsy room. This kiddo's luck wasn´t good refering to his family. Just as Brass makes it obvious. A father promoting violence, and a mother who doesn't seem to care much about him. Maybe this is the reason this poor boy reacts this way, and even gets to kill. But what can you do about it?
  • Not only Marg Helgenberger in waders trudging through a sewer, but poor old Greg having to provide a couple of 'samples'. Clever story.

An initial investigation into the death of someone in a storm drain leads to a much more complex case involving a very messed up family indeed.

Great stuff here. When the body is discovered it's left to Catherine and Worrick to investigate down in the sewers. I love Marg Helgenberger and the sight of her in big waders and a white vest is quite alluring, but I can't help thinking I wouldn't go anywhere near that place without being fully covered!

There's also a very nice moment between the two characters once they have exited the drain, with a promise of them perhaps becoming even closer - something which is not played out in the end, which is a shame.

The 'real' case involves the discovery of bones in a sewer, which are soon identified as human and probably belonging to a young boy. The initial belief that they had been there over a year is disproved by one of Gil's famous experiments, involving a very cute looking pig and some of Greg's more personal 'property'! What I like is the way that Gil's team go along with him, even when they are asked to do the extraordinary.

The experiment proves that the boy might have only been dead weeks and we're led to a family with its own very unusual issues, including a father who for some reason likes to keep explosives of various descriptions in fridges and closets. He doesn't see anything wrong in this! I know that Sara is a bit of a maverick, but her decision to take the closet door with her, at the risk of blowing up any other evidence and herself and her colleague is a bit of a stretch.

The ending is both sad and frightening. You obviously never know who you're living next door to. I just hope I don't live anywhere near these kind of people! Seriously crazy without being actually insane.

A great episode, reminiscent of earlier seasons.
  • Really enjoyable episode

I really enjoyed this one, especially the part where Greg goes through his first autopsy which made me laugh quite a bit.

Really fascinating how the investigation of one body in the storm drain leads to the discovery of another, or in this case, bones. Also it really amazes me how much they can find out about a deceased person by just looking at his bones.

I also enjoyed the suspense during the part where they discover all the explosives in the suburban home. It really kept me at the edge of my seat.

Overall this was a great episode, definitely worth my time.

this is what i am talking about. greg witnesses his first autopsy and well he didnt feel sick. they sly grin that appears on grissoms face says it all. and saras remark after was hilarious.

it was also a yoblingers episode. catherine and warrick the almost kiss..oh i would have loved for that to happen. well besides that it was a very good episode, i liked it alot. the whole sick twisted family that commits crimes as a family and well that is a very good polt line to base it on. the father and son with explosives and the tense moment with sara and warrick when the bomb was about to fall. now that is what i call suspense

This episode had my heart stop! It starts out pretty average with the team investigating a case dealing with a body found down in the drain. However, the case turns into a mystery involving bones, bombs and murder. It's an excellent episode. The scariest part, for me at least, was when Sara is attempting to get evidence from around a closet door and Warrick looks up and there's all these bombs everywhere. They still have to collect the evidence so they have to take the door off without disturbing any of the bombs. It's teriffic! Everyone should see this episode!
  • It starts of with the CSI's investigating a body which was washed out of the sewers by heavy rains, then to the investigation of a bunch of human bones found in a manhole.

A great but creepy episode. It starts of with the CSI's investigating a body which was washed out of the sewers by heavy rains, then to the investigation of a bunch of human bones found in a manhole. The investication leads our CSI's to a home filled with different kinds of explosives along with the evidence of a murder.

We also get to witness Greg's first autopsy. Grissom was watching Greg & smiling to himself like he was waiting for or expecting Greg to throw up, but I think he was proud of him in the end for being able to stomach the whole experience.
  • This episode was one of the creepiest and great at the same time episode. It was creepy to find all the explosives around this suburban home, and no one evr noticed....CREEPY

I think this show was agreta show. It made me scared and very suspensful all the same time. I think the writers were thinking great when they wrote this article. The whole family bonding thing was quite weird. I mean teaching your son how to make explosives. Come on with the family ties...It's amazing how a mother and father will teach their children to do such sick and demented things. What happened to the all american family values...no stealing, no lieing, DON"T KILL!!!Or make explosives..
  • A great episode!!

This episode saw Greg at his first autopsy, explosives in a house, and a hint of things to come between Warrick and Catherine. They managed to solve the first dead body pretty quickly and then you were thinking what they would do next if they had solved the dead body. They rarely solve a crime based on bones but when they do it is usually a good episode and this was no exception. The added twist of the pipe bombs first time round and then the liquid explosives was just great. Even with the bomb squad they managed to get enough evidence to charge a kid on murder.

There were a couple of things that bugged me though. Why did Grissom have to run into the house and yell at everyone to get out, couldn't he have gotten a guy in the bomb squad to do that? That would have been a lot safer. Also, they didn't explain why Nick and Sara weren't at the beginning. Although Jorja Fox and George Eads, the actors who play Nick and Sara, were fired and this presumably was supposed to be the premier, they could have at least given an excuse like they were at a CSI conference or something to explain them magically coming in half way through though the episode. Still a good episode though.

  • A heavy rain comes and washes up a body, but the investigation takes an explosive turn!

This episode showed an interesting, and not often thought about, subject- flooding- in this episode. It moves from the spook-house fun of the original case, and a brief hint of Warrick-Catherine interest, to a true house of horrors.

I won't spoil the episode for those who haven't seen it, but Sara and Gil have close calls with explosives. The family has some nasty secrets which in turn, lead to the season's subplot with Sara and her family.

The Gil shows his protective side, but then typically ignores his own advise later in the episode. Ther are at least two great times when I was yelling at the tv for a character to "Get! Out! Of! There!!! NOW!!" followed by eyerolling and heavy sighing.

It may be an 'average' episode, but with this series, an average is still better than much that is on the airwaves!
