  • A good episode although not my favourite

This episode was truly disappointing from the beginning until the very end. We open with a girl walking through a building and as she enters a room, she gets shot. When investigating the room Grissom notices blood drops and realises that the blood is coming from the apartment above. When they go up there, they discover another body.

The team learn that the woman in the apartment above is called Maria and she was killed by a roaming bullet from the murder downstairs. She was listening to what was going on downstairs when she was killed. We learn that the owner of the apartment were the first girl was killed is owned by Drops (he was in a previous episode). In order to find a missing woman Drops is realised into Bass & Nick's custody. They go to his club, and as he goes to make a sandwich, he goes into the fridge (literally) and vanishes. Nick chases after him, but he gets away in a car. They soon track him down and the woman who was missing.
  • Another good episode but not a stand-out one

A nice return to an episode which was a little more plot driven; with a killer still on the loose and murdering more victims it's a race against time to catch the culprit.

I enjoyed Drops Out a lot as it was both fast-paced and plot driven – it's nice to see the CSI's (in this case, Nick) leave the lab and chase down criminals. The story was very unbelievable, with Drops being let out of jail to help locate the accused killer – but you often have to suspend belief in CSI so I easily brushed over this flaw and let the story take over. I'm not a fan of rappers-turned-actors (or singer/actors) but Method Man did a good job playing Drops and was, at times, the only good part about some scenes.

The episode isn't a stand out one but is still enjoyable. I'm continually impressed with the amount of good solid episodes we've had so far in season 8, despite the writers strike. But again, I was disappointed with a lack of screentime for Greg – does he ever follow a case through to the end these days?
  • Enjoyable, but not earth shattering

The character Drops makes this episode. Otherwise it would feel like a filler. It doesnt help that the closenit-ness of the group seems to have be shattered. There really is a feeling that something is missing (writers strike no doubt).

The premise of the plot is also dubious. I did like the way that Nick and Brass test the water but arent able to get Drops to give them what they want. I also liked the idea that he manipulates the situation to get him out of jail. Yet what happens when hes on outside just didnt seem realistic and therefore distracts from the plot.

Yet I didnt let it get in the way of what is an enjoyable story of 1-against-many, as Drops has to evade the cops to rescue his pregnant girlfriend from the killer. Lots of good scenes and actions do build up to a very good ending made better by the tragic ending to Drops. Just desserts perhaps?!
  • interesting story but quite avarage episode.

A women dead and when it looks first just another crime but it becomes more interesting when there is whole in the sealing and there is another body on the upper floor. And to add even more, it comes to clear that there is someone named Drops involved and to get for the person who might know something, Drops have to get out. And he does not let the change go by and creates an escape plan and it works but the things do not work well for him and so he will make himself known to the police in the end.

To be honest, quite pale episode. Nothing special.
  • A desperate Nick and Brass team with an old adversary to halt a rapidly growing murder count. Less gory and more story this week as a merry chase ensues.

The team again plays with their laser beams in an attempt to figure out another unusual the sequence of events that escalates beyond the simple killed/victim mould.

'Method Mans' Drops gets a 48hr pass in order to assist Brass and the CSI's to end a growing list of victims. Of course things never proceed smoothly and as Brass and Nick take Drops to help find his lady, who could well hold the key to the case, even a GPS ankle bracelet wont let the slippery con from seeking his own line of investigation.

As often happens the line between good and bad gets blurred and I wouldn't be surprised to see the surprisingly effective method man getting more air time in the near future (the modern 'Huggy Bear?' - he's got the walk, talk, attitude, insider dealings - but can he stay clean enough?)

Its also nice to see that the team is running more on brains than the emotions of recent episodes. Catherine is definately better when she controls herself rather than the career risking blowups that are much better suited to the street hardened Brass or the tempestuous Warrick.

Overall a very good effort. Just enough humour to counter the bodies - and much less graphic than many episodes. I thought the pace of the show was just right and the hour flew past. Well done team - on screen and off. More of this quality please!!!
  • Is Method Man a method actor?

Sorry, I couldn't come up with anything clever to describe this episode. Method Man's charachter saved the episode for me. It centered around the investigation of not 1, not 2, but 3 bodies in a string of apartments. And who owned a couple of them? The incarcerated club owner (played by Method Man). Most of the activities/investigations are conducted by Brass and Nick Stokes.

I will say that I didn't really see the ending coming. With 15 minutes left I still wasn't sure whodunnit or why. Maybe I was tired.

But that doesn't usually happen with me while watching CSI. I usually focus with rapt attention. It felt a little like they were going through the motions. I guess when a show is on this long it happens. I am not worried. I will and you should tune in next week.
  • The episode opens with a woman walking into a dark apartment and being shot dead immediately upon entering. The investigation reveals a second body in the apartment directly above. It's soon learned that the now incarcerated Drops may be "invovled".

The writing on this episode is good and there are quite a few clever bits of dialogue present here. However, I just found myself not getting very involved in the story. This episode is good, but not my favorite. I think that Drops is a reason why this is so. Method Man plays the part well, but the character is not a good person and not somebody the viewer can route for. Since the man is a crook it's hard to side with him though you understand that he wants to save his son. Despite this, the episode is good.
  • ok episode...

I almost stopped watching the episode because I thought it was so bad, but the ending slightly made up for it. The story was just OK. I'm tired of CSI having little to no characterization. It's all about the crime-solving. I love watching dynamic characters and CSI just doesn't have it. The idea of letting a convict out to look for his girlfriend...would that really happen, and, seriously, isn't it obvious that he wrote a note! Come on! Are these people idiots! I did like the ending of the episode; it was sad and unexpected. Overall, still, a very poor episode an example of why I don't watch CSI regularly anymore.
  • I don't know what to say about this one.

I didn't really get this episode at all, it felt to me like it was something the writers did out of boredom. Plus it's like they are trying to get us used to not seeing Grissom so much, you hardly saw him in this episode at all. It was actually a Nick-centric episode to me. None of the other cast really did anything major. It played around Nick and Brass the whole time. I hope next weeks episode is much better than this one. Ever since Jorja left the show in GbGl it's like they don't know what to do in an episode to get the watchers to really wanna see it. I watch the new episodes for hopes of hints of GSR. The only thing that kept me watching this show was Jorja's character Sara. Now with her gone, I just keep asking myself whats the point? Other than the fact that I didn't the point of this episode I enjoyed it none the less.
  • An unusual shooting sees the CSI team playing with laser beams and trying to figure out the sequence of events. A convict is involved with a declared homage to the movie "48 Hours".

Bullet trajectories and LV lowlife, more than the average number of dead bodies, some sex and well written banter by the CSI team. Brass and Nick take on the con, Drops, to help find his lady, surely a GPS ankle bracelet should be troublefree? Everyone gets involved in a murder, that has a "2nd stor(e)y" and the bodies pile up, the race is on to catch the killer. Played somewhat for laughs, there's few chuckles here despite the body count, this is one of the better CSI episodes, well paced and scripted. Everything wraps up nicely in the end. Bravo!
