In this episode, we meet Brass' daughter Ellie. She's tough, she's on the wrong side of the law, she has an attitude problem and she's in the center of a crime involving counterfeit money, mules carrying drugs, an abusive boyfriend, and a a Treasury Dept. Investigation.
Ellie is found out not to be his daughter--call it the Milkman. It's clear this gal has issues with her Dad, and she's taking it out on him by messing around. She even gives Warrick Brown a lot of grief, saying things like "You've got this hot Lenny Kravitz thing going on..." and "Will you... fill me up, Warrick?", much to Warrick's discomfort.
No backstory is really given on what brought Ellie to this place. Was it an underlying suspiscion she's not Brass' biological child? Was it too many late nights he was out investigating crimes and not paying her any attention? We even see Brass drop a few tears at the end of the episode and we wonder if Ellie will show up again.
Not a filler episode, but Revaling a kind side to our otherwise hardboiled detective whom we all hate to love.
