  • A one of the those everyday, reality episodes.

Although this wasn't my favorite episode of CSI, I still liked this episode. It wasn't the best we've seen, but since it did preceed "Monster in the Box", which was an amazing episode, no one could really get too upset over it. The plot to this episode was fairly fresh. The last episode that is kind of like this one was "Iced" from season 5. It was a very melodramatic episode. It just kept buliding suspense, which boosted the episode's appeal. I did not like how they found the boy with the teacher. It just made you go "Yuck!" I was also a little disappointed with the ending. Oh well, it was still a farily good episode.
  • yay CSI rocks! this is exactly why I love it!

Yay I cannot believe this episode. First of all I love Evanescence! Evanescence and CSI how good can it get. And that was one of the most twisted storyline and plot I have ever seen. That was so awesome! And it was so not fair that they all got punished except for Meagan.I love CSI....any way I can't wait for next CSI.It makes me so sad when it is off for a few weeks but the ending of this episode is awesome.Oh the shaving scene was so awesome. Are they like living together now or what? I hope we get to see a kiss or something soon.
  • High school dramas with the basketball star and cheerleaders..

    9.3
    "Superb"
Some high school tragedies involving cheerleaders and basketball players as the team investigates the brutal death of a cheerleader. At the start of the episode, Grissom is cranky about the fact that Brass made him get out of bed early on a Saturday morning to investigate the disappearance of the basketball star and his girlfriend. Creepy bipolar photography teacher wanting to be Mrs. Robinson..

The photography department did a wonderful job and the portraits of the students with their aspiring goals were really well done. Some more character development in the Sara and Grissom relationship with a sneak peak at the couple having an intimate moment when Sara shaves Grissom’s beard. The angle which was shot with Sara holding the razor knife makes it all mysterious when she asks Grissom if he trusts her.
  • One of the episodes that made season seven so great. (CONTAINS SPOILERS! CONTAINS SPOILERS!)

    "Superb"
Season seven, I believe, is perhaps the most lavish season of CSI that I have yet to see. The whole episode kept me at the end of my seat, and I was in no way expecting the ending to be as it was. This episode may be favoured by some for it's lack of graphic gore, but even those who prefer CSI to be violent could find this to be a choice episode. (SPOILERS) The ending, with the pictures of Ryan all over the warehouse, and his dead body on the bed beside the photographer's cadaver was one of the best scenes of the episode. (END OF SPOILERS)
  • This as to be my favorite episode of all time! Nice to see the team do a case all together without any drama!

I love it! The begining was really good. Nick looked so hott in this episode! Catherine made me laugh when she found the crabs. The hole case kept me guessing, and i still can't believe they let Megan go after killing her boyfriend. The talk between Sara and Warrick was the best, nice to see those two get along. But my favorite part of it all is the ending with the GSR! I loved it when Grissom said he trusted her...it was the best! I screamed at the scene and my mom looked at me wierd. By far the best yet!
  • murder, lies, and GSR. What more could you want?

    "Superb"
A very good episode, but the blood gushing out of Ryan's neck, gross! That photography teacher was WACKED, Sheila dying, I could not believe that Megan was found alive after being run down by a car, although, I did like Brass and the drink machine............ Anywho, this episode kept me guessing, when I first saw the previews for this ep on CBS I was like, this episode doesn't look to good, but man was I wrong! The GSR scene at the end of the eppie was a jawdropper, Grissom is now beardless. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have three words for the writers, kissing scene please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • The mysteries that CSI has to solve this season are spectacular, and so well written.

    9.0
    "Superb"
Instead of having a body right off the bat and trying to figure out who killed them and how... there was a missing persons report and a pool of blood and a big mystery to solve. At every turn you maybe think you have it figured out only to find out a new fact. This season has been awesome. I am getting tired of CSI:Miami's plot lines most of which seem so overused (which ex lover killed who this week)

CSI has managed to come up with original twists to many of their plots. Such as this episode, when the cheerleaders best friend died suddenly. I am really loving this show. :>
  • Kept me guessing right up until the end.

    9.5
    "Superb"
This was a classic CSI storyline and it kept me guessing right up until the very end. Loved the twists and turns. I was totally shocked when Sheila just randomly died. I knew it would have something to do with the love struck teenager though, I kept yelling at the screen 'Arrest him!' And eventually they listened.

I also loved the shock ending, that the photography teacher was bipolar. It was really creepy to see all the photos of him, and it reminded me a little of 'Darkroom' one of the Miami episodes from season 5. And, OMG cute GSR moment at the end! I'd heard about it in spoilers and I was waiting for it all along, I thought it wasn't going to happen. But it did =)

    All in all, great episode.
  • Started off slow and more and more intriguing.

    "Superb"
I found at first, eventhough there was cool music, and an eerie feeling, that the beginning was slow (OK enough basketball). I wasn't sure what kind of episode this would be. But as it got moving, it just held my attention throughout the whole story. I was glad they atleast found one of the kids alive. I kept hoping the boy was alive, but no, not Ryan, I guess the bad guy got it in the end (with a weird teacher). I know the show would go funny with romance, but I enjoyed the end with Sarah shaving Grissom's face. Kind of makes them more human.
  • Let's just say the case was good and the ending was awesome...

Okay, so that is personal opinion what I said in my summary but that's what a review is all about. On I go, I enjoyed the football field scene when the CSI's and I believe cadets are going across it. I usually enjoy those scenes because they are done so nicely. I loved how Ryan used his girlfriend, Megan's name for his password to his hitlist so okay not really. Anyway, I thought Grissom's comment to Brass over the phone in the beginning was well, so obvious he would like to be elsewhere and that it showed he isn't all about the work anymore(not that it hasn't been expressed in some manner earlier in this season). I have to say I thought Sara's hair was cute in this episode. I also, loved her interaction with Warrick. So disgusting, that the teacher did that whole posing thing and picture thing with a dead Ryan. Well now I am almost done but I still have to comment on the ending. I absolutely loved loved loved (could write this word for long time) Grissom and Sara's shaving scene. Just beautiful, simple, and speaks volumes of their relationship. Oh and the butterflies behind Grissom were awesome.

WOW! This one was cool. I was surprised a little by the ending. It took so many turns & twists that I couldn't really keep up. I like the way the used the steretypes, but didn't go the usual route with it. Was assuming it would have been the teacher, She seemed too cool when she was being questioned. had an answer for everything, but I was really surprised I was wrong. So odd. So disturbing. Catherine & Grissom discussing the chastity belt for her girl was funny. I loved it when she said "Sometimes you a really creepy.' & he just looked so puzzled.

Looks like next week we finally get to see grissom & sara together. I wondder when that will stop feeling odd to me.
  • Love, deception, obsession, death, luck.A teen-aged couple disappears and CSI is called in to investigate the possibility of a crime.

    9.3
    "Superb"
This episode is about passion. Jealousy, revenge and even love take the center stage - they become obsessions.

A seemingly unimportant disappearance grows to a beatifully woven story about love, fear, luck and obsession causing us to contemplate on the complexities of human relations: a young man's love of a young woman that blindfully loves someone that loves himself; a revengeful act that goes wrong due to brute luck (or its opposite); the obsessions that feed the arts. Refreshing dialogue with reviving music.

And then there was the ending... However complex human relations are, that which unites people, Love, is in truth simple; almost like shaving....
  • This episode didn't keep me from trying to figure out what happend.

    9.7
    "Superb"
This episode made me feel like I was part of the crime scene investigation after I figured out all of the clues and the suspects. The best part of this episode was when we saw the video where Ryan gets killed. It did not look real, but, it's the closest thing that I'm probobly going to get. This episode was also disturbing in some parts, like when the gang finds the teacher with Ryan's corpse and when Sheila died. It's pretty scary if that was your daughter and you just saw here sleeping there and she was dead.

Conclusion: This is a really good episode and I hope I see many more episodes like this one.
  • Cheerleaders, basketball, blood, hit-and-run, murder, little creepy-crawly crabs...what more could we ask for? Oh yeah, GSR. Squee!!

    9.7
    "Superb"
A great episode! We get to see a little bit of everyone, we get some high school angst, and a few dead bodies. Whoo!

I think my favorite moment was between Grissom and Catherine during their comversation about chastity belts. CreEeEpy!

The plot was good- I didn't really see the best friend development (what with the head trauma/hematoma) coming, or the "missing" body of the basketball star.

Call me creepy, but the last images/photos of the photography teacher and the boy was an interesting interpretation of Romeo and Juliet. Creep as all get out, but it would have been cool if the models hadn't been dead.

Why is it that whenever there's sometihng even remotely relating to a high school, there's a teacher doing the nasty with a student? I know it happens in real life, but HOLY POO! Why do we need it EVERY TIME?! Le sigh. So cute with the GSR moment at the end. "Do you trust me?" "Intimately." Awwwww... I've been waiting for another one of these moments (and I'm even happier that it didn't include a weirdo Hawaiian shirt or a Fugly Hat).

Okay, I'll admit it. When I first saw the previews for this episode, I wasn't all that into it. It just didn't sound interesting. The only thing I was really looking forward to was the shaving scene, which was the one and only spoiler I had read(really, it was), and so I was sure that I would enjoy the show, but maybe not be that into it. I could not have been more wrong. I liked all the twists and turns that the case took. I thought that the teacher was involved, but not to the extent that it turned out that she was. Young love has never been so deadly. And Grissom is a fine one to talk about women expecting men to be more mysterious then they are. C'mon, this guy is one big mystery. Maybe he doesn't consider himself that way, but if that's the case then he is delusional. I loved the fact that we got to see everyone, and it didn't seem like someone was obviously missing. Some really great lines too. I'll have to check out who wrote this episode. And of course, finally, THE SCENE. So short, but SO sweet. I was so worried they would cut it. My God, Grissom is HOT. I can't wait to see more. Kudos CSI team.
  • This storyline is classic CSI.

    9.4
    "Superb"
The twists and turns with this plot and storyline are exactly what got me hooked on these types of shows. Starting with one original thought, having the evidence lead in a different direction and finally coming down to something no one necessarily expected. With the kids storys, to the clueless parents, add twisted teacher and in the end the only one telling the truth was the evidence. Not wrapped up in a nice bow, but wrapped up. Grissom's beard getting shaved off, (YEAH!) especially by Sara just made it even better. Thank you TPTB for returning to the basics of a GREAT script.
  • Intimately... *sigh*

So I thought that the teen sex jokes were super funny. Cath wanting to get a chastity belt for Linds after finding 20 plus semen stains and dead crabs on a sleeping bag in the back of a seniors van. Then Grissom for telling her that she could still get it. I also liked when Sara was giving her post-coital story to Warrick and him asking if her taste in men has gotten better. That little smirk she had on her face was so cute. Oversexed teens – getting STD’s, then getting killed. Is that some moral comment that the show is making?!? The end was the best…S: “Do you trust me??” G: “Intimately.” Loved it!!
  • Creepy photography teacher and wicked GSR moment!

Ack, it's one of those families that are always name calling the other families. Lol, I can't imagine was Gris was doing to make him annoyed about coming into work ;). I know the human body has a lot of blood, but with the amount of blood being found everwhere, it's starting to get ridiculous.

Lol, chastity belt. Yeah, Grissom's not creepy. He's Grissom. Nooooo, I was hoping Charlie wouldn't have anything to do with Megan and Ryan's disappearance. the poor kid, seeing an arterie burst and squirt blood out, amn how trumatic.

wow, that photography teacher is creepy.

Aw, that GSR mment at the end was so damn sweet!! I loved it!
  • Manslaughter, attempted vehicular manslaughter, accidental death, and suicide. A boy ends up in jail for a prank. A man gets his beard shaved. A woman definately has better taste in men now. Excellent

    9.9
    "Superb"
Damn. Yep, got to start out with the damnation and hellfire. Sure, there was a case, but one minute of television made me forget everything that happened for the past hour (almost). How do those two actors turn two simple lines into so much? Sigh. Can’t wait to see if anyone comments on Grissom’s lack of a beard. Unfortunately we have to wait six weeks. Stupid basketball. Although funny, episode right before March Madness involves basketball.

Ok, enough about shaving crème and my wishes that Sara kissed it off. Loved the beginning. Grissom’s monologue about photography, the pictures of the kids in the hallway, the action in the gym, then the song starts to play, and then everything just stops. It was freaky and cool at the same time.

Poor Grissom, got woken up out of bed on a Saturday. Must have left Sara sleeping because she didn’t show up until they found the van. Loved the line of Warrick’s “Let’s hope your taste in men has improved since then.” You bet your lovely buns it has, he’s this hot older guy who is really smart and worships the ground she walks on, oh, yeah, he’s also your boss.

Greg was getting action in the back of his car? Well we know he didn’t make it to home base, but maybe third? Hmmm maybe I should be using a basketball reference. He threw the free throw but didn’t make the basket? He fouled out before making the play? Also loved Nick in this episode. He noticed the shed before Griss. He figured out they should be looking for the girl in the area around the accident scene. What broke my heart - he line to Megan about wishing he could have selective memory about things in his past. My poor Pancho. Now as for the case itself – twisted. Here you have what you think is this happy couple. But wait – he sleeps around with other girls, including her best friend and his photography teacher. I think Nick said it best when he said that line about Charlie loving Megan, Megan loving Ryan, and Ryan was a dog. Through in a prank for revenge of passing STDs around school and a teacher with an unhealthy obsession and you end up with three dead people, one boy in jail and a girl who will never walk again.

Can’t wait for April 5 – until then I have a bunch of movies I recorded on my DVR and I think I’ll rewatch Season 7 again from the beginning. Still trying to figure out who the MSCK killer might be.
  • Though it felt like a revisit to Gum Drops, with Nick getting overly emotional and a beautiful score and tone to the episode, it can hardly be considered a bad thing.

    "Perfect"
How did I love this episode? Let me count the many, many ways.

First off, I'm so glad that CSI: is beginning to settle into this new tone. It's very cinematic, and very... effective. Just this cold look at the bodies, and then you head back to the lab for the "fun time". Brass does the Fonz to a drink dispenser. Sara and Archie chant lyrics at the screen. Nick smirks at Greg trying to impress him with his invented prowess with the ladies in high school...

The old CSI is back in some ways - the way they really felt like a team, the way they would tell little intimate moments of their lives (poor Sara with the underwear story, but good that she has a "better" man now) but at the same time, there's a greater seriousness and a respect for these crimes. I think in Season 1, partly because of the grainy, "rough" look to the older episodes, there was just a sense that a lot of the crimes came off as comical, or that the victims took a sideseat to telling us about the evidence.

The new CSI feels stronger. They don't have to stop to tell us what a carpet fiber is, so they can focus on telling a story. Yes, it's like Law and Order with microscopes now, but it improves the ability of the show to shape a real case.

The final scene... far too short for my taste, but I thought that on reflection, it was meant to juxtapose the flimsy and hurtful relationships of the teen and college years with a real, solid, adult relationship. I found it sweet, I found it sexy, and I did love the episode.

Not the best of the season, but in a season with so many highlights, that doesn't really bring it down too many notches.
  • What made this episode so amazing was all the quotes that were, well quoteworthy. As one board member mentioned, they had such a great night, the entire episode will have to be quoted.

This episode proved its worth from the very beginning with Grissom talking about photography. However, this was a kind of hint to the killer the entire time. It basically told us: it's the photographer! Though, we didn't know there was one until she came out. But I loved it anyways :) And yes that was Daisy Adere from Dead Like Me. I love that show! Anyways, I loved the basketball game and all the pictures being taken. And then, the kids are missing?

The entire scene with the parents was a bit cliche. I caught some of it, but didn't notice much of what was going on thanks to an innorportune phone call. I loved Sara and Archie in this episode. It was so cute with them singing together! And Nick and Greg's conversation made me laugh so hard. Greg with his, "had so much action I needed a hearse" and Sara having told us ages ago he was 22 when he lost it :D

I felt bad for the poor cheerleader. She was so excited about her cheer and then she couldn't move her legs. Poor thing. Her next door neighbor was creepy and I knew he had some sort of involvement. I mean really. Though it seemed like he had more of a crush on the jock than the chick like they all claimed. The photographer's comments were a bit creepy. And the poor kid was such a crybaby, though it did make me think was that Nick as he was younger? HAHAH :D loved it.

I did not expect the photographer to be that insane though. She was way mad, With the whole after death photos and she was sleeping next to him, dead? And then we find out from one of her pictures the true killer of the kid: his girlfriend, the cheerleader. Too bad she "can't remember." *sigh* I love that. This definitely made the episode.

Wait no, maybe that was the last scene with Grissom and Sara. :D

Honestly though I believe what made this episode so amazing was all the quotes that were, well quoteworthy. As one board member mentioned, they had such a great night, the entire episode will have to be quoted.

All in all another episode really well done!
  • Hmmm, not quite sure about this one.

Not a bad episode. Much better than the earlier eps in this season. The episode contained lots and lots of forensics, which I love, it's my favourite part of CSI, but there just seemed to be something wrong with this episode. I can't place it, but I think it could possibly be because I know Laura Harris from Dead Like Me, and to see her guest starring in CSI confused me. One thing I will say about this episode: lots of cute guys!! Love that! My favourite part of the episode was the ending, lots of suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat!
  • Two teenagers are missing. When the CSI team are called in blood evidence soon suggests that the situation is more serious than simply runaway children.

    *SPOILERS ALERT*

I enjoyed this episode of CSI however I feel that lately they have been trying to fit too much story into the running time and as a result much is glossed over or left entirely to the viewer to draw their own conclusions.

An example in this episode is the poor resolution of the hit and run incident. Although the team clearly identified that the teacher’s car had damage matching that of the impact debris at the hit and run crime scene, it was almost mentioned in passing rather than as a key detail. In a typical episode this would be accompanied with some form of flashback/re-enactment to acquaint the viewer with the latest theory provided by these findings, but instead it was unresolved. As a result there is still a certain amount of mystery surrounding that part of the story. Did the teacher deliberately run down the cheerleader in an act of revenge for killing the basketball player OR did she accidentally hit her whilst chasing the van in order to procure the basketball player’s body? Other aspects of the episode, such as the death of Shelia at the police department seemed so unnecessary in furthering the plot that it could easily have been lost in favour of fully elaborating on the hit and run incident.

Perhaps for many this is an insignificant detail, but I find it to be uncomfortably removed from typical CSI formula. Maybe if they continue on in this manner it will become more bearable. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
  • well done Christopher

The opening scene begins, with one of my favorite songs, playing in the background,"Good enough" by evanescence, it didn’t feel like I was watching CSI the direction was completely different better of course maybe that’s due to the fact that Christopher Leitch directed this episode he did a great job, by beginning with a mystery, which is a guaranteed attention grabber. Also a very important subject was, portrayed in this episode the struggles of high school students. And I also loved how he displayed the pictures of the three idols and how they disappear emphasizing the fact that they actually disappeared Then slowly the events unravel in a very intriguing setup till the final moments of the episode where everything is revealed, and it ends with "good enough" and down goes Charlie's picture, excellent installment.
  • Complex and finely written story that transforms the mundane and deftly leads the viewer into an around these characters. This episode may have some of the loveliest footage I've seen on CSI; I recommend this one.

While this marks another of those incidences when my psychic gene turned itself on and I knew the motivations and outcomes before the 1st interview had taken place (my fault, not the writers), it in no way diminished my enjoyment of this very brooding and beautiful episode. I love the way this episode was shot, especially with the use of moving and still shots in the opening montage. The beauty of photos of the suspects and victims in the case—Brian, Megan, Sheila & Charlie, coupled with the prominent role photography played in the episode made for a good effect as well.

The case, which initially presented as a missing persons case involving a couple of teenagers, became a priority because of a personal request from Det. Brass. As the team begins to gather and examine evidence, it becomes certain that something extreme has occurred. The resolution follows the expected twists and turns of a CSI story line, leading up to a slightly macabre, though stunningly photographed ending.

The continuity with regard to the elevation of Sara and Grissom's relationship was nice to see. With so few words, so much was conveyed…
  • Great score, good storyline, gorgeous sentimentality.

There have been a lot of TV episodes which have developed a storyline around cheerleaders and a high school sport, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Ghost Whisperer, passing through numerous detective shows on the way. This, however, was handled a little differently. The story led and the audience followed close behind. The killer was never fully identified until the last few minutes and the audience makes the realisation at the same time as the detectives, which I always prefer when I'm viewing detective programmes. For the "die-hard" fans there was also a couple of teasing charcter plot development scenes, including an end scene which actually brought a tear to my eye as it was so beautifully done. There have been some critics who don't think the Sara Sidle and Gil Grissom romance works, but there's been a long history of younger women with older men both in reality and fiction. Their characters, especially concerning their romance, match well. They are both very private people, both intelligent and he was a mentor of hers. They admired, respected and trusted each other for a long time before they became involved in a relationship. I think the writers have managed to run this story in the true charactors of the characters portrayed. It works for me, and so this episode got a ranking of 10. The main story probably only warranted a 9, but that little glimpse at the end was so sympathetically done that it pushed it up to a 10 for me.

    9.4

I think the whole point of CSI is to try to make the viewers interested and intrigued enough to try and figure out what happened to the victims with the team. This episode is a classic example.

A jock and his girlfriend go missing. At first it looked like they ran away, but after finding blood inside the campus they start searching for other clues that may lead them to the missing teenagers.

Evidence leads them to a photography student and the girlfriend's bestfriend. I was ready to close the case in my head when the photography teacher's name came up the second time, and the girlfriend was found barely alive. What I didn't expect was the girlfriend's involvement in the whole thing, and the jock's body being stolen by the teacher. Talk about an obsessive stalker, going as far as stealing the body of the dead kid and take pictures of them together.

I guess it's amazing how friends can destroy each other.

What I kind of found weird was that last scene with Grissom and Sara. I didn't understand what that had to do with the case. Trust, mabye?

Over all, it's not one of the best episodes, but it's worth watching a second time.
