  • The ending was emotional...

...as well as the beginning. IMO the strongest Season Premiere that I have ever seen (6-9) on this show. A very emotional episode but was surprised to see a resolution so quickly. But I suppose the writers want to move on. All the cast showed genuine sorrow for Warrick and finding out he had a son after we thought he had no family was even more heartbreaking. Also the fact Grissom was like a father figure to Warrick was raised again to emphasise their bond through the tape and Grissom's eulogy. And Im glad that son of a b!tch cop got what he deserved.
  • this is the most moving episode of csi ever.

before this episode started you just knew it was going to be a tearjerker, and did not fail to deliver. as we all know csi is not a show that is all action, which is good, as it is good to have the mind tested from time to time and to see how the process gets us to the end product, and last nights was no exception. after getting us over the shock of warwick dieing, the writers then throw us in to the determined bid by not just the csi's but all connected with dept to hunt down warwick's killer. this did not seem to be going to well until nick accidently turned the car radio on, and found the sound turned down which then brought in to question why the passanger window was down. this led to him discovering the the knuckle prints. which then led him to the fact that it had to be someone who warwick knew. and the only other person on the scence being the undersheriff. this then moved them back to the gun that was found in the car. no prints on the gun, but it was pointed out that there had been no ammo with the gun when it was supposed to have been destroyed. so the clip and ammo would have been loaded seperatley perhaps prints on the bullets, and low and be hold a match to the undersheriff. so the chase is on. grissom rings him archie gets the fix brass and nick give chase find the car upside down. the undersheriff has crawled out nick finds him a gunshot rings out but to our dismay nick hasn't shot him (pity). the funeral was a really touching moment as grissom give his eulogy with tears and been unable to carry on. this varation of the show is still by far and away the best. i liked warwick's character and he will be a miss, and nice to see sarah back for however long it is. must just say it is good to see an actor of laurence fishbournes quality coming in to replace grissom when he leaves, but it will never be the same without him for me
  • Painful to watch as in "WHY?! WHY?!" I think this is the best episode of CSI, and a tearjerker, too.

I just let the tears flow when I saw Warrick die in Gil's arms. I mean, he was a very loyal CSI. We all saw that in all the seasons.

I was thinking to myself, "This is the absolute best of CSI. But why kill Warrick off?" I think I heard sniffles as well from my father next to me when we got the ep on DVD.

We all seem to agree with Grissom's eulogy at the end. Warrick was loyal, determined too. Even as he died, he tried to tell Grissom about what he figured out about the undersheriff.

McKeen is supposed to be a good guy! Instead, he turns traitor and kills a loyal CSI. Just seeing him arrested (Nick, you should've just knocked the guy out, for Pete's sake!) wasn't enough for me.

CSI won't be the same without Warrick.
  • Awesome episode!

This episode was obviously emotional, very emotional. Seeing Warrick die in Grissoms arms was heart broken. It was a shock to the whole CSI team. When Catherine was walking toward the crime scene and seeing someone putting a white blanket over top of his head with this huge blood circle and seeing Catherine start crying was pretty sad to see. I just loved how they were doing everything they could to find the person who did this.

This episode wasn't like anyother. Usually the crimes are people they don't even know, now it's someone who they have been working with for years and years and seeing him dead. I was shocked that the man shot him. And I'm glad he got what he deserved. But I really wanted Nick to be brave and shoot that son of a... But he didn't. He didn't seem ashamed at all that he took a life, he was in fact laughing!

I loved that Sara came back just for Warrick. I know she was very much missed.

And now it comes down to the funeral. That was pretty intense. Seeing Grisson start to cry and couldn't continue. And everyone tearing up and bending their heads down. Soo sad! But why Warrick! I actually liked his character.

I love CSI and after all these years I STILL love it! The writers have so many great imaginations when it comes to writing an episode
  • A most emotional episode...

This episode reminds me of why I stick with CSI Las Vegas. Every once in a while you get a bad episode, but then you get an episode like this and you never want to leave a series. The death of Warrick was a very emotional hit to me as it was to many fans. The scene with Catherine entering the crime scene, with Lisa Gerrard's "Come Tenderness" makes me teary-eyed every time I watch it. The writers did an amazing job of showing how each of the CSI family suffered such a loss, from Catherine's shock and pain, Grissom's silent grief, to Nick's anger and desire for payback. Then came the Eulogy. Grissom's eulogy was by far the most emotional instant in all of CSI. For the people out there that complained that he was far too cold, far too unattached to be realistic, all you have to do is watch this scene. The mask he has built over the years shatters and we see how much Warrick meant to him and that even Gil Grissom feels deep pain. How this series goes on from losing Warrick will be difficult if not impossible to measure. All i know is this: RIP Warrick Brown, and thank you Gary Dourdan for the work you have done to make such a wonderful character a part of viewers everywhere.
  • Warrick Brown dies in Grissom's arms. The hunt is on for his murderer. It is up to Gill and the team to put the pieces together.

I waited all summer for this episode. I hated to see Warrick leave yet it made for a great episode. Sara Sidle coming back was a good thing also. I have to say this episode and the season finale last year took me by surprise. I never realized that the Under Sheriff was a bad guy. Let alone willing to kill Warrick another law officer. There are a lot of surprises that remind me why i love this show. We find out how Warrick felt about Grissom and that Warrick has a son. This will be a show I will want to see again and maybe again.
  • The ninth season begins with Warrick Brown dying in Grissom's arms. Grissom's team, devestated by the death of their friend and colleague, are determined to bring Warrick's killer to justice.

I think I can safely say that William Petersen has given his best performance as Gil Grissom in this episode. The scene of Petersen giving the eulegy at Warrick's funeral will definitely bring tears to your eyes. An extremely powerful moment that no viewer will soon forget. What also makes this episode terrific is the fact that the story does not waste time with plot twists. Immediately the team and Eckley find out who Warrick's killer is and work together to find the right way to capture him without giving the slightest hint. One of the best "CSI" episodes ever.
  • Season 9 Premiere. Did it live up to all the hype? Warning: Contains Spoilers.

IMO, it did and then some. To be honest, I wasn't sure about this season with all the information that's been floating around about it. I knew before the episode even aired that Warrick was...well, dead. Gathered that part. I was very interested to see how they did it though; and by that I mean how the crew as well as others reacted to it.

The beginning was very powerful stuff. Grissom holding Warrick's lifeless body was...well, very touching. Amazing job there. And then when Catherine came to the scene a bit later and Grissom was sitting against a wall...his shirt covered in blood. Wow, both of them in that scene, amazing acting. Very touching stuff. And then, Grissom having to walk into the building with his shirt literally covered in Warricks blood for processing reasons...well...you know how that went. I think they did a great job with that. Even to the part at the end with the funeral.

Sara coming back...well, expected that. Don't really care either way. I'm just depressed that he's still leaving the show after so many episodes, but it should be interesting to see how it goes.

In all, great episode. One of the best parts was when Grissom was watching a DVD of Warricks interview about his son. He talked about Grissom (though his name was never said, we just assume and KNOW it was him) being his father and if he could choose his father, Grissom would be it. Nice touch there.

In all honestly, it was better than I thought it would be. Fine work. Can't wait for the next episode. It looks good.

Warrick has never been my favourite character (along with Sarah), but this episode was none the less moving for it.

I have to say I was expecting a long, drawn out hunt for Warrick's killer - but I was quite happy to see a swift and almost unusually simple resolution to the situation. I think I speak for many people when I say that that's a really good thing.

I am anxious to see who is brought in as a new addition to the team (and cast), with Sarah apparently not being a permanent fixture, with Warrick gone and Grissom on a part-season contract.

Bring it on, we've been waiting.
  • There are no words to summarize how amazingly painful this was.

Finally the episode I've been waiting to watch for months came, and it was totally worth the wait. The episode allowed each character to experience emotions they had never experienced before. The shock and panic in Grissom's face when he found Warrick in the car was the only time we've seen him break, Catherine's arrival was priceless and her reaction totally heartbreaking, Sara's emotional comeback, the Doc not wanting to perform the autopsy, Ecklie's understanding and surprise support to the entire team, Greg's silent pain and Nick's desire for revenge. Every single action in this episode aimed only at one direction, they did it all for Warrick, for their friend, their family. The final funeral scene was the most emotional of the episode, it was the perfect time for the team to really cry, and for the audience too. In general, "For Warrick" was done with perfection. Perfect writing, perfect direction, perfect performances. A true CSI classic that will not be easily forgotten. R.I.P. Warrick Brown.
  • One of the saddest episodes of CSI yet!

I couldn't believe that Warrick was killed that quickly. Within the first two minutes he was a DB. I thought that he would make it to the hospital at least. Now, I'm still confused about the fact that Warrick has a son. I didn't see that coming at all. I'm wondering how that is going to play out in the rest of the season. The team has been emotional over their teammates in the past, but this was the most emotional I've seen them. The last scene took my breath away when Gil went to the front of the church to give his speech. I don't know what the rest of the season is going to be like but I'm thinking that CSI might be coming to an end. It seems that after the original cast is gone, a show doesn't work as well. Soon all that will be left is Catherine, Nick, Jim and Greg. I've watched this show from it's birth. I'd like to see it go out with a great big bang, (in a good way).

One of their own is taken from them. But before we get to that, Warrick has been shot by the crooked undersheriff. How Sara rushed to the CSIs after hearing a colleague and a friend being shot and fighting for their very life. Glad that the chief, whom I really don't like that much, but glad that he let Gil run the team. After Warrick being shot. The emotions did lead to everything from anger, hurt, and asking themselves why?! Why would someone be shot. Nick going against the crooked undersheriff, I mean, Nick could had easily taken him down. But decided to let justice handle it. Then the team, probably the last time they will ever come together, at Warrick's funeral. How the show kind of will never be the same at all. RIP Warrick, you will be missed!

I've never been a big fan of CSI and I watch it on and off, but this episode was great. Finally, I got to see some character! I swear, most CSI episodes have no to barely any character development and this one was full. Well, I hate Sara Sidle so I was bummed to see her again, but she wasn't too bad. She was behind the scenes and she and Gil are cute. Anyways, the beginning of the episode was amazing. I loved how they did it and Gil's reaction - the perfect way to kill off a main character. I did not like knowing who the killer was, but it was still good. The ending funeral was practically tear-jerking and the Warrick video of him talking about Gil was so sweet! I'm not that sad to see him go - because I like change in a show because it means other characters can develop and new characters can come in. Overall, solid episode with a great, emotional story and amazing character development.
  • How can this one be summed up?

    "Perfect"
I have been waiting for this episode for what seems like forever. I can say that this was worth every second of the wait. This episode from beginning to end was heartbreaking. To see a character who has been with us since the beginning be taken from us so quickly just (quite simply)mirrors real life and shows us how fleeting life is. Warrick was like a family member to many of us too so it did feel like we were truly a part of all of this. The writers outdid themselves. Seeing Sara back was wonderful but realizing *why* she was there just poured salt into the wound. To see how Warricks death impacted each of our character, especially Grissom, was just too much to take. I was pleased with how the team pulled it together long enough to solve Warricks murder. I was glad to see McKeen get what was coming to him. The funeral at the end was the teams time (and our time!) to break down and remember and finally let Warrick be laid to rest. R.I.P Warrick Brown!
  • Warrick's death came as a shock. But I loved this episode!

    10
    "Perfect"
I loved this episode. Not because Warrick died, even though he is not my favorite charachter. But because the team's reactions made the episode feel real somehow and you could realy feel their pain. And of course their hunt for the real killer was exciting!

I liked Grissom's reaction when he found Warrick in the car. He was so close of crying and was so much in shock that he had trouble leaving the scene. And who wouldnt be? It's not often that Grissom is this emotional, except of course when Sara went missing. But I loved to see him emotional in this episode. And it must have been so hard to have Warrick die in his arms. Everyone's reactions were amazing! And I loved it when Sara returned, if she hadn't returned it wouldn't have made this episode as good as it was. Death brings everyone together. Which was really evident in this episode. Seeing Catherine trying to hold it all together and not cry her eyes out, was... heartbreaking.

And Jim Brass! I love the guy! Ya gotta love Brass. Anyway, he seemed so extremely determined to find Warrick's killer, (of course the rest of the team did too), and I loved it!

However, I don't like Nick's reaction that much. It was obvious that he was sad and angry. Anyone who has seen the show for a long time and knows the charachters, probably saw that too. But I would have liked him to react stronger, such as crying. He and Warrick were best friends, so his reaction was a bit weak I think. Even though he was so close of killing McKeen in the end, but still... just a little bit too weak.

And isn't it frustrating to know who the killer is and see him act like he just hadn't shot a cop? And watch him frame Pritchard for the murder? Oh that was so frustrating! I just wanted to jump in to the TV and shoot McKeen, luckily Nick did it for me.

Grissom's speech was touching. And of course the person Warrick wanted to pick as his own father was Grissom. No surprise there.

It will be so weird not seeing Warrick anymore. 8 seasons with him, and then he's gone. RIP Warrick Brown!
  • Warrick dies and Sara returns.......

    "Perfect"
In this episode of CSI, the following happens. We open with the scenes right after Warricks murder. Grissom quickly arrives on the scene to find Warrick just as he is about to die. As Warrick dies it turns into a full blown crime scene with all of the team there. Grissom goes with Warricks body to the morgue. His clothes are then taken into evidence. When Grissom goes back t his lab after changing he is met by Sara, who is there waiting for him. After Greg and Sara search his apartment they search and discover that Warrick has a son. He was trying to win custody of him. As the deputy (Warricks) killer and the man who framed him, try to leave town. They are soon being chased by Brass and the police. They see that a car has gone over the side of the road, and discover that it's the deputy's. The deputy tries to escape, but Nick finds him. We then have Warricks funeral. Grissom gives a lovely speech, during which he begins to cry, as does the rest of the team.

This is the best episode they have ever created for this show. I really feel like they used the entire hour in the best possible way. To see Grissom so chocked up really got to me. It made me feel as if someone from my real life family had left. Sometimes a show can make it kind of unrealistice or even try to hard to make it sad. This one though....was perfect.

The whole team reacted in way to which most people would....That was a nice thing to see...

I really hated to see a final goodbye to Warrick...Of course,,the show will go on and I hope it gets better than ever.
  • Nine years later and stilll the best show on TV.

For the last time ever, we get to see the original team together. Warrick dies in Grissom's arms and the team mourns the loss of one of their own, only minutes after celebrating Warrick's innocence. Sara reunites with the team, showing how much they all care about each other. Now, with Warrick dead, they find out his conspiracy theories were right, and in the end they catch Warrick's real killer. Can an episode get any better than that?

Though CSI is a procedural, the characters have grown throughout the years, and that made it really sad to watch one of their own die. Throughout the episode I was hoping that the team would catch the true killer, the undersheriff, and I knew they would. I liked how they put the pieces together and figured out that whoever shot Warrick had a conversation with him, meaning it wasn't who they originally suspected. Near the end, when the undersheriff went off the road, I really wanted him to be alive so they could put him in jail - and when Nick shot his gun - whoa! I definitely thought he shot the undersheriff! I waited for weeks for this episode and it definitely lived up to its expectations. This is how TV should be - it should draw us in, make us sit at the edge of our seats, and keep the twists coming right up until the end. Now let's just hope that the show doesn't tank when Grissom leaves later in the season...

An overall good episode, although very sad. It's a shame with Warrick, but I'm happy they solved the case so quickly. The search for answers and clues weren't as exciting as normal episodes, but still good enough. Sara looked like she had aged about 10 years since she left the show, strange... As always, I'm a bit annoyed with how the Police always goes all in with the force when an officer has been hurt or killed. Aren't all people supposedly worth the same?! Anyway, Grissom was great, the acting on his part was impeccable. It was nice to see some emotions from him.

This episode was painful to watch. It was painful because I know what it is like to lose a friend and collegue. I felt the CSI teams pain last night while I watched this episode. Grissom will never be the same. I think this is the first time we have ever really seen him break down. Catherine's arrival was classic Catherine but there was somethiong more a real obvious look of loss and bewilderment. I was glad to see Sara back, especially for Grissoms sake. I really thought nick was gonna shoot the undersheriff in the end, but he knew that real justice needed to be done. I think that the prosecution of the undersheriff may play out in future episodes. The was great but I wish they would have played on the funeral nore with a full perssesion to the grave side with lots of police vehciles and uniformed officers saluting the fallen. But over all this episode was quite touching. I am anxious for the rest of the season now.

    "Superb"
I was not thrilled with Warrick's departure, nor some of his character development from last season. Having said that, I will say that this was a great episode. It was moving, suspenseful, exciting, and heartfelt. I think that CSI has always had a strong record of making us care about the characters, and this episode continues that tradition. With the passing of Warrick Brown, it gave us a good soild glimpse into the souls of not only him, but those that had become his family. Whether it was the surprise but appropriate reutrn of Sara Sidle, the compassion of Eckley, the silent grief of Doc Robbins not wanting to perform the autopsy, the raw emotion of Katherine, the turmoil of Stokes, or the pure sense of loss and devestation from Grissom, each character's reaction to Warrick's death was real. It spoke to how close the group had become, even with Sara's recent departure. It was hard not to be emotional watching this episode, and even though I am sad to see him go, this episode did justice to the character of Warrick Brown.

AMAZING!!!! i cant believe how many times a i cried du ring this episode, when warrick died in grissoms arms, chatrines reaction, when sarah returned(although i have never been a big fan of hers) the confrontation between nick and the undersheriff( as the undersheriff is egging nick on) and during the funeral. amazing writing, amazing acting and what a sendoff for warrick. although the hottness of gary was why i watched the show in the first place, i have no problem saying that i will forever be watching this show, and cannot wait to see what they have instore for us!!!

I did cry during this episode but i was also angry at the undersheriff. I was praying that Nick would shoot him because Mckeen was goading him to. But i am glad Nick didn't do it. It was nice to see all them together. It was shocking to find out that he had a son. Grissom and Catherine's reactions made me cry hard. I was surprised to find that Doc Robbins didnt do the autopsy but i can understand it because he was also close to Warrick. I am glad Ecklie even though i can't stand that man, let Grissom run it and Brass didn't know at the time he was talking to Warrick's killer they were still thinking Pritchard had still done at the time.

I think we all imagined what this episode will be about but I never dreamt or thought this will be so good and so painful to watch, specially the beginning. I do think it was very beautifully done and a episode you cannot forget so easily.

The beginning, when they are all one by one getting there.. Grissom first and the way he just was there.. it was heart breaking. I have no words and I really cried while watching it. Maybe it was the score as the music was very emotional and worked so well.

And the way the episode go. Sara back and how they learned what Warric thought of Grisom from that tape.. and the end.. how they got the undersherif. Oh.. good episode.

I couldn't get over how quiet it was, how still. You could feel the emotions from everyone. I loved how Ecklie, despite their differences, asked Gil how he wanted it handled. I thought Sara and Greg where the perfect choice to take care of his arrangements. I like seeing the varying emotions from loss to hurt to anger from everyone. The team is resolved to finish it, For Warrick, at all costs. Which is not less than expected. Brass and Gil conversation was very revealing especially as they put the pieces together. Even though I knew it would a match, but watching Katherine compare the fingerprints I was holding my breath. It seemed for once everyone was on the same side. Warrick's. Nick going one on one with McKeen was amazing. I could feel the conflictions. Gil's speech at Warrick's memorial was incredible and perfect. Just like this episode.

I started crying when Warrick died in Grissom's arms and Catherine's reaction struck a chord in your heart. Grissoms' emotions were like his brain was trying to comprehend all of this. I'm a huge fan of Sara, and I was only able to smile for a split second when Grissom found her in his office. The look on Sara and Greg's faces when they discovered that Warrick had a son was unforgettable, though the picture of the team, you know they shot that picture, during the taping of this episode, because of how short Sara's hair length was. You can tell Sara's healed since she left Vegas from her little conversation with Greg, about making the bed and taking out the garbage. Nick was really trying to control himself when he confronted mcKeen and during Grissoms' eulogy,I broke down. It was touching how they had every member of the lab there. I was never a huge fan of Warrick but his death brought me to tears.

I've been excited and scared about watching this episode and after watching it, i have to say the first 10 minutes felt like they could have been better.

I would have appreciated it more if more of the characters showed more emotion through out the episode, the only two people who showed emotion that they couldn't hold in, were grissom and catherine.

I was horribly surprised that they didn't show nicks reaction to seeing/hearing about warricks death. That annoyed me deeply. It seemed after the opening credits that most of the team were just working on another case, it would have been nice to see one or a view break down. If i was investigating my friends car and all i saw were their blood, i couldn't help it but break down or let a tear drop. Brass mentioning about his last words to warrick should have been said to grissom, cath or nick and not to the guy who killed him!

This episode was good but i really thought it was going to be an emotional roller coaster and the only reason it wasn't is because not many people cried their eyes out or tried so hard to hold the tears in and that only grissom got to see warrick pass away and also that i think warrick died to quick into the episode.

The annoying thing is, i know that i can't continue to watch csi no more. Warrick was my favorite character from season one, episode one and i know it won't be the same without him. So goodbye CSI &

Tonights episode was one of the most heart-wrenching to watch. Grissom's discovery of a dying Warrick takes an emotional toll on someone who has always been the rock amongst the team. While the team's focus was finding Warricks killer, the writer's didn't forget to show the suble ways in which Warrick's untimely death affected each member of the team. Grissom's heartfuly eulogy was the perfect sendoff for a man who considered his fellow CSI's his family. The biggest surprise came in learning that Warrick will live on. While Warrick wasn't my favorite CSI, he did make an impression that will be hard to replace.

It was a terrific yet sad episode. I think they tried to cover the case and the reactions of the team in too little time. So it seemed a little squished. So we didn't get much insight into all of the characters. However we saw Catherine's reaction briefly. Mostly however, we followed Grissom. He almost seems not himself. No tears or anything but we get a good look into the effect it has on him. Acting at its finest. The ending was perfect and very well done. I found the episode itself was very different -in a good way- from other episodes in the past. They are off to a great start with season 9. It's worth watching. I loved it!
