Grissom and Warrick take the case of a young man who is found naked in the desert without an obvious cause of death. Sara gets to find out why the body of a woman who was buried last week is in a dumpster. Catherine and Nick investigate the killing of a school's dean by the school's founder.

  • an average episode - teaching everyone about drugs are bad.

so really this epsiode was boring, not bad, just boring.

i dont even remember much about it and i watched it only two nights ago (bless season box sets that provide countless hourse of entertainment)

so pretty much a guy dies in the desert, a dean dies and a girl ends up in a dumpster but shes already dead.

the guy who died in the desert was killed by his best friend - i felt realy bad for him cause it seemed like he really did regret it and didn't care what happened to him cause he had killed his best friend. must be awful

dean gets killed by two female teachers cause they were getting blackmailed and girl in dumpster cause the dude was re-using caskets.

boring episode - okay cases but could be improved.
  • Sarah investigates and woman found in a dumpster who apparently was buried a week prior, Catherine and Nick investigates the death of a dean while Warrick and Grisom takes on a case of a boy found naked and dead in the dessert.

I thought this episode was real suspenseful. I would have never guessed that it was the guy's best friend who killed him. But I guess when you are on a drug as powerful as they were than it may have that type of effect. Personally I don't see the thrill in not remembering what occurred the night before. Sara's case wasn't a surprise to me because we hear all the time about casket robbers. And as far as Catherine and Nick's case, it wasn't as interesting as the case Warrick and Grisom had but it was better than Sara's case. I enjoyed it!
  • bad drugs, body dump, dead dean.

This episode was pretty ood. The guy dead in the desert ended up getting drugs and his friend killed him because he was having a reaction to the drug. I felt so bad for him when he started crying and saying that he killed his best friend so now he dosent care what happens to him. Sara had to investagate this girl that was found in a dumpster and then she figured out that she had a funeral like a week ago. Then it led her to the director who is re using caskets. Catherine and nick investaged the murder of a dean and it ended up being these teachers (they were girls) killed him because he was black mailing them because they were gay I really hated that part of it because it was a horriable thing for him to do so i felt really bad for the teachers.
  • Bad trip.

A dead teenager, Eric, is found dead in the desert. Grissom and Warrick investigate his death and find that his skin is abnormally dry and that there is a drug - jimsonweed - in his system. They question his friend, Bobby, and they learn that the two had attended a rave. It turns out that Eric developed visual hallucinations due to the drug and that Bobby developed auditory hallucinations, and suffocated Eric to keep him quiet.

Sara investigates a dead body found in a dumpster and discovers that a funeral home owner has been digging up bodies to reuse the caskets to save money.

Catherine and Nick, meanwhile, investigate the death of the dean, who has suffered severe blows to the head. A woman, Kit, admits to killing him in self defense because he was harassing her, but they learn that she and another woman killed him because he was blackmailing them about their lesbian relationship.

This was an engaging and entertaining episode, and I liked it a lot. The likable Milo Ventimiglia guest stars as Bobby in the drug story segment, and the death of the dean was interesting as well. My favorite part of the episode, however, was Grissom going to the rave and encountering the girl on ecstasy.

One of the better episodes of CSI I have seen so far. (Putting my total of CSI episodes watched at 5.)

What makes this episodes seperate itself from the herd is that one of the two cases isn\'t really your average murder case. Dead body found in desert. Doesn\'t sound all that exciting, and I bet each of you agree with me when I say that I bet everyone thought this was going to be just another murder case. A jealous lover, an angry gang member, a greedy hobo. You know, the obvious. What I didn\'t get about all of this was why the friend opted for jail rather than a hospital. He didn\'t kill his friend on purpose.. well, he did, but he wasn\'t in a right state of mind.

I am sure there are many people who wouldn\'t sympathize with these kids. They used the drugs, they should have known what could happen. But I am sure that if you have ever used drugs, and had no real bad experiences, you could feel for them. Bad things happen like, once every ten thousand times someone does drugs. Don\'t generalize, don\'t hate someone just because they do drugs.

\"Friends & Lovers\" get bonus points for focusing on one of the two cases. You probably know that on average, every CSI episode is centered around two cases. Two people working on every case, with the rest of the cast helping out here and there. Not this episode, no. This episode centers around the drug incident, with the smashed skull of the school dean serving as a side dish. I like it this way, it makes you feel for the victim (and possibly murderer) of the first case, while not getting bored because every so often a new discovery is made in the second case to keep things interesting!
  • There was only one good part of the episode.

The best part of the episode was seeing an emotional Grissom about the drug dealer. It's not often we get to see Grissom let a case get under his skin that's why I always enjoy the episodes where this happens.

The other cases were only okay. Nick and Catherine's case was pretty boring and I don't think anything of interest happened in them. Sara's case was pretty good only because it was interesting and just a bit creepy. A mortician reusing coffins? I hope that only happens in Vegas. Overall a mildly entertaining episode if a little lacking on the funny, humorous scenes.

  • Body found in the desert naked; the dead dean of the school. The CSI's try to figure ou the who's, why's and how's that lead to the demise of the victims. The clues are a rave, and some blood evidence that does not stack up against the suspects story.

We start off with the dead body in the middle of no where without any obvious trama. We also have the dean of a prestigious school found beaten to death in his office. The initial clues to the dead young man are nothing, and the story from the owner of the school does not make sense when you compare it to the amount of blood all over the office. Fantastic how they go about the typical investigative process, and in the end come up with a logical conclusion. I love this show for the simple fact that most of the solutions to the problems are for the most part realistic!
  • A young man is found dead and naked, while a private school's dean is found dead by one of the teachers, and Sara deals with a very business-minded funeral director.

This was not one of CSI's strongest hours. The two bigger stories aren't exactly balanced: Griss and Warrick's naked runner and better than 'Afterschool Special' writing shows the dangers of recreational drugs again. Grissom's anger at the targeting of kids is worth watching, though. The cold anger that William Peterson brings to the world-weary Grissom is a delight, especially as Gil tends to just throw off snark or shrugs usually. This is also the episodes with The Three Things That Get Grissom Angry. Plus, Grissom at a rave? Comedy gold, baby!

Catherine and Nick's scholastic murder turns into a tired take on the "killer[insert outsider group]." The science montage of Nick stringing the room and setting the laser pointers is fun. Nicky bringing the computer simulation and Catherine bringing the ' you can't fool me sister' seems weak, and the actual twist seems too long in occuring to either of these 'seasoned' CSIs.

Sara's finding out that a funeral director was also into secondary marketing actually predates the disturbing story of unburied bodies in Georgia (which was also covered by sister show, CSI:Miami.) Jorja's reactions as Sara effectively show Season 1 Sara as still being able to be surprised. The key for her was an interesting discussion of how one might want to be buried if at all. It was short, but kinda neat.

If you are catching the reruns, or just catching up, worth the time.
