When a man's dead body turns up naked in the bed of Doc Robbins' wife, the detectives try to "just work the scene" without bringing their pre-judgments to the table, but it sure looks like a case of Death During Adultery.

12 years and still the writers get to think of interesting topics to entertain us. Wow, the mother had an affair with her own son and had a son --- that's a bit confusing. The murderer turned out to be the unwanted son. It's weird but no one can argue with it's creative thinking!
The reaction of Jim of judging the wife for adultery is so typical. Doc was so right to say that the bad experience of Jim has clouded his judgement. Aint that true for all of us.

  • Geneology!

This episode was quite interesting. I"m starting to really get into this geneology stuff in this episode. However I do feel kinda sorry for the Doc. though when his wife is suspected to be having an affair then later of murder.

But the Geneology part of this episode kept the show interesting for me.

    • Goof: (continuity) When Dr. Robbins is walking up to the crime scene, his glasses are hanging just above his belt. In the next take, they are string through the ring around his neck, then seconds later, they are back where they started again.

    • Dr. Robbins: Look, as my friend, I am asking you to broaden the scope of your investigation.
Brass: You gotta prepare yourself, Al. Because this is only gonna get worse.
Dr. Robbins: No, you gotta prepare yourself to be wrong. Your past is clouding your judgment, and I expect more than that from you.

    • Morgan: Good thing about evidence... it works both ways. It can prove guilt, and it can prove innocence.
Ms. Robbins: You know, Jim brass didn't believe a thing I said. If I was going to have an affair, I wouldn't be having it in my house, in my bed. You know, every marriage has its problems, but that bed's sacred. You cross that line, and there's no going back.
