  • Internal Combustion.

This was an episode with twists and turns when one murder turns to a possible second that leads the CSI's to street racing when they find Cindy dead after she was hit by one of the race cars Both of the murders turned out to be accidental because with Trevor the kid who dropped dead in school was a ticking time bomb with something that happened in the past leads him to be killed at this point With Cindy it was just a race that got too competitive and the driver wasn't concentrating on what was in front of him and after that it was just a matter of which of the two racers was going to take the blame with both of them willing to go to prison and they both got their wish.
  • The team investigates two mysterious deaths. The first being that of Trevor Beck. An anti-social high school student who was also an illegal street racer. The second is that of Trevor's cheerleader girlfriend Cindy Medina.

Despite some minor flaws, this episode is one of the best episodes of the season. It's also one of the most compelling and entertaining of the entire series. The scene at Trevor Beck's autopsy when Langston and Robbins open Trevor's skull is one you won't soon forget. Seeing Trevor's brain swell up is almost too frightening to look at. The scenes of Cindy Medina's dead body stuck in the tree are just as frightening. The close up shots of her mangled legs as well as the overhead shot of her body in the tree are brilliantly staged. A great episode.
