  • A murder at a bowling alley.

    9.5
Once again season 10 continues to impress with another good episode with a good storyline that was very entertaining The episode had two cases again and gave great mystery when a woman who hung herself in prison turns out to be innocent and her sister is the killer The bowling case got me thinking because the killer could have been anybody and it turned out that his girlfriend put the head in the ball return and Chevy shot him As Shea said in the end that because she put the head in the bowling alley she will be in longer than Chevy who killed the victim in self defense.moreless
  • The CSIs Are On The Case Of A Murdered Bowling Alley Employee, Whose Severed Head Shows Up In A Bowling Ball Return During A Tournament.

"Lover's Lanes" is an awesome episode and it is in my top-five episodes of all time! There are so many good things to say about this episode. I liked the beginning because it was quite interesting. Every character got a decent amount of screentime and no one dominated the screen. I don't know why, but this episode reminds me of the old classic CSI for its clever plot and original motive. The dialogue between Nick and Greg in the beginning is another high point. The ending scene where the team is bowling is the best the team moment throughout the whole series. Seeing them enjoying outside the work was a fitting end. This is not important but I totally loved Catherine in the team moment because her happiness made me smile! I love Catherine. I cannot tell you more, but I recommend this one. Flawless and one of my favorites. 10/10moreless
  • Who knew bowling could be so deadly.

    8.0
In this episode of CSI, the following happens. The CSI team investigate a murder when a human head is found at a bowling alley. Of course what follows is a lot of evidence following, and discovering that one of the team, Greg, used to play bowling for his High school. As the case is solved, we see the team celebrating by all of them going bowling as part of the "CSI family". Overall this was an ok episode, not as bad as some we have seen recently, but still not great. But I'll end on this note, who knew that bowling could be so deadly.moreless
  • Good episode

    8.5
So.. CSI can surprise and this episode did it. First, I loved the way the chars were all in this episode and the ending really showed that lovely csi family and the way everyone were happy and enjoying time and playing.

The case itself.. To be honest, with all those years of CSI, I have started to think and expect unexpected but I did not thought about the real killer. And when they realized who the killer was, I was little shock. it all looked so logical in the end but.. And I really liked that, being able to have surprises.moreless

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • Goof: At the beginning when they show the bowling score between Chatts and Cigs, there are a couple of errors in Cigs' score. Additionally, the announcer's words and score don't match.

      1) Frame 8: Shows a score of 217, but as frame 8 is a strike, no one can compute the score till the first ball of frame 10, which has yet to occur (currently blank). The score is 217, which means the first ball of frame 10 must be an 8.

      2) Frame 9: Shows a score of 237, but as the frame is another strike, its score isn't computable till the second ball of frame 10. (Frame 10 is completely blank at this point.)

As the score of frame 8 is 217 and the score of frame 9 is 237, this means the first ball of frame 10 will be an 8. The player will pick up the spare, and a third (and last ball of frame 10) will be necessary.

      3) The announcer keeps talking about the possibility that Chatts can win, which he can't based upon the displayed score. The best Chatts can hope for is a tie, which will only happen should Cigs gutter the last ball of frame 10. The audio track and displayed score don't match. The score is an Anachronism to the action and announcer.

    • Goof: In bowling, a perfect game is 12-in-a-row not 10, as stated by the victim's girlfriend.

    • We learn that Brass has a Twitter page.

    • Greg's bowling ball bag reads,

" '92 California State Championship Team
      Valley Ridge High School"

Greg went to high school in California, was on his high school's bowling team, and is now 31-35 years old.

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Hodges (seeing Greg's bowling ball that looks like a dice): Somebody's rearview mirrors a little lighter.

    • Nick: Time for a toast. Bowling is a family sport. I'd like to raise a glass to our CSI family. Cheers. (they all drink) But unfortunately, it's time to give the family a little ass-whoppin'. (they all laugh)
      Hodges: Oh, really?!
      Catherine: All of us?
Ray: Be careful Nick, don't let your mouth write a check that your ass can't cash.
      Everyone: Ooh!

    • Catherine (after she bowls a gutter ball): I hate this! I hate this. That happens every single time!
Hodges: Y'know, don't be afraid to rock the granny bowl, Cath.

    • Catherine (after Sara bowls and one pin is left): Ooh, Sara that pin is flippin' you off!

    • Shea: I wanted to give Chevy something that he'd never forget. It's shocking enough to find a human head in the ball rack, but when it's the head of someone you killed... unforgettable.

    • Nick: And what about all this bowling gear, it wouldn't happen to be stolen, now would it?
Vitis: I don't know donkey about bowlin', man. That's Ron-Ron's thing.
Nick: You just told me you worked at the bowling supply company.
Vitis: Yeah, but I just started there. And like I said that's Ron-Ron's thing.
Nick: Yeah, and so is this car. You're movin' out today, buddy. Come on.
Vitis: What are y'all doin' up so early?
      Nick: Get outta there.

    • Doc Robbins: Ah, just in time for the head-topsy.
Catherine: Yeah. I heard someone was trying to use this one as a bowling ball.
Doc Robbins: Well, his head is very sphereical.

    • Nick: You sure do know a lot about bowling.
Greg: Uh... Mechanical engineering class, we took a field trip to a bowling alley.
Nick: Every Saturday night, family league.
      Greg: Yeah. You any good?
      Nick: Ah, I'm not bad.

    • Greg: I didn't find a body back here, but I didn't find an empty bowling ball bag with blood in it.
Sara: Bag without a ball, head without a body, at least we know what we're looking for.
