I didn't really like this episode that much, it was a great episode & the cases were great but I got a little bored, plus Sara was only in one scene.

Grissom & Nick investigate the death of a man who died in front of a casino with a wooden stake in his head.

Catherine & Warrick investigate the kidnapping of a former NBA star's 5 year old boy, which later turns into a murder.

We find out that Warrick is still affected by the death of his mentors 9 year old daughter a few episodes back.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Goof: When Nick and Grissom enter the mine, they turn on their flashlights. In the camera angles facing them, they have medium sized flashlights, but in the shots looking at them from behind, they have very large sized flashlights.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • (The victim has a stake embedded in his skull)
      Nick: Sharp force trauma?

    • Nick: There's a sucker born every minute.
Grissom: Yep, and they all come to Vegas.

    • (In a mine)
      Grissom: Are you seeing this?
      Nick: Gold. We're rich.
      Grissom: I'm not so sure.

    • Detective Cyrus: Death: the cheapest show in Vegas.
Grissom: Yeah. It doesn't surprise me. Remember the MGM fire? We found people burned to their slot machines cause they wouldn't leave the action.
      Detective Cyrus: Only in Vegas.

    • Nick: Feces?
      Grissom: Yep.
      Nick: Under the fingernail?
Grissom: Yep. (Nick looks up with pained expression)
Nick: He wiped his own ass?
Grissom (laughs): No, Nick, it's not human. It's scat. Could be from a bat.
      Nick: Bat scat.
      Grissom: Bat 'guano'.

    • Grissom: Bats are like bees, Nick. Don't bother them, and they won't bother you
Nick: Let's not bother them... I mean it

    • (Nick and Grissom approach an old mine)
      Nick: What's with the gate?
Grissom: It's a bat gate. Keeps people out, lets the bats in. Old mines are considered bat habitats and preserves.
Nick: Who puts the bat gates in?
      Grissom: Batman.
