OMG, what is going on with this show???

Enough with the dim lighting and the standing around talking and can we please get back to actual investigation. I just couldn't keep interested in this episode, i was distracted by the lack of action, investigation and the huge bulks boring talking. I know it is important to discuss a case but come on their was virtually no action and why were all the CSIs just standing around!!! Why has Greg lost the personality that made him my favorate on the show? He needs to grow his funky hair back and maybe he will get back to being the fun, quirky guy he was in the first few seasons!!! And can someone please shoot Riley, A completely boring addition to the show and has done nothing but slow it down. Overall all i could think about whilst watching this episode was how slow the show is getting!!! I lost all interest in the story and hated the horrid dim distracting, lighting!!!
  • This episode opens with Dr. Langston testifiying at the murder trial of a respected Congressman. Outside the courtroom, the Congressman's top aide commits suicide, with the gun used in the murder! This act sends the prosecution's case into a tailspin.

This episode is quite good. It is well acted and very well written. One thing that "CSI" does well is it opens it's episodes with unique and very memorable scenes. This episode is no exception. However, I was somewhat disappointed in seeing the recycled storyline of an innocent man convicted of a murder. This was seen in a recent episode of "CSI: Miami." Despite this I must admit that is, for once, a minor flaw and this episode more than makes up for it with the way the investigation pans out. This was a very exciting episode. Don't miss it.
  • Dr. Langston is on the hotseat.

A pretty intense opening scene with Dr. Langston testifying against a Congressman accused of murder. During his testimony the Congressman's Chief of Staff comes into the courthouse and shoots himself in the head right outside the courtroom where the trial is being held. Ballistics show the the gun the Chief of Staff shot himself with is the same one used to kill the woman, Amber Jones, the Congressman is accused of killing and that the gun is registered to the congressman. The Chief of Staff left a suicide note saying he had killed the Amber. This leaves doubt as to whether the Congressman is guilty. The trial against the congressman continues. Dr. Langston is sitting outside with Amber's Daughter and notices a rash on her arm and that she has a fever. He takes her to the hospital and finds out that she has been poisoned. The exume the body of Amber and find the she has also been poisoned and the Congressman's Chief of Staff was the one who put the poison in their energy drink. They also found a footprint on the chest of Amber that hadn't shown up until after the embalmbing. Meanwhile the Congressman is found guilty of the murder of Amber Jones. The foot print is that of a woman. It turns out that the Congressman's wife was the one who killed Amber. She was mad that Amber had given her husband an STD and she had gotten it and it had caused a miscarraige. This episode was slightly hard to follow due to who did what and when. I hope that other episodes that follow this one are easier to follow.

In this episode of CSI, the following happens. A man is on trial for murdering a young woman named Amber. As the trial goes on, a man walks outside of the court room, with a gun and shoots and kills himself. Soon through the evidence, they learn that the man who killed himself, worked for the man who is on trial.

There is also a note inside of the pocket of the dead man, in it he confessed to committing the murder of Amber. The trail continues and the man standing trial is found guilty. The team are still following the evidence and they soon learn that the wife of the convicted man is the one who killed Amber. She killed her because she lost her baby through an STD she got off of her husband. Her husband got it off of Amber.
  • Another classic!

I have been glued to the screen from the start to the end of the episode. New evidence comes up, the case is re-opened, the CSI's have to look at the case at different perspectives, more victims (direct or indirect), new witnesses, lines from most of the characters, emotional outbursts... I just can't let my eyes turn away from the screen as I will lose track of what's happening... The whole case is so marvellously plotted.

Just love the last scene at the diner, it is so heartwarming. TEAM WORK! This is the element that differentiates this show from other crime-solving shows when it was first broadcasted. I'm glad that the writers seem to realize this finally.
  • I like the concept, but it was a little busy.

I really liked the idea and concept behind this episode. Ray having to testify at his first trial as a CSI. They all had to do it and unfortunately for Ray, his is a very high profile case so it's a lot a pressure. However, as much as I liked the episode, I thought there was a lot going on and things to keep track of, from the mistress, to the assistant to the wife to the mistress' daughter, then you had the mistress' ex turned stalker as well as the congressman himself. Just alot to keep up with. I did like seeing Ray's softer side in dealing with Maddy as well as a peak into Riley's personal side. Which by tonight's indications, was a painful one. This needs looking into and can't wait. Greg seemed awfully concerned.....

I really liked this episode. Maybe it was little different - more court room than usual and the way the story started to get twisted and then got even more twisted.. The way they thought they have a case and turning the court more and more new evidence come out and you can never be sure what is true... like with that man who killed himself - he said under oath that there was no gun but then he appears with murder weapon, kills himself and leaves note saying he did. Hard moment.. hard choice.

And I liked there was the personal twist too.. Riley got involved and you cannot say Langston wasn't.

    I liked it.. that's a fact
