  • The Team Investigates When Lady Heather's Daughter Zoe Is Found Dead In The Middle Of The Desert.

    1.0
    "Abysmal"
I dont have favorite episode of CSI, but this is the worst episode i have ever seen. Zoe Kessler is found dead. Soon they find out that she was the daughter of Lady Heather. I found the man with one eye to be pretty unrealistic. The case was boring. I have never cared for the character of Lady Heather. But this was a very bad episode and it had the worst ending of all CSI episodes. The episodes concentrating on Lady Heather have been pretty stupid and boring, but I enjoyed her role in "Slaves of Las Vegas". Take my advice and skip this episode and save 40 minutes of your precious life. Seriously.
  • A social and spiritual wake-up call

CSI is theoretically "entertainment" tv. Let's review what happens in this episode. A young woman is abducted by a Neo-Nazi. She is stripped, starved, shaved, drugged, chained to a wall, and injected with flesh-eating bacteria. Her eyeball is removed and replaced with one from another person. She eventually escapes by knawing off her own arm. And because there was no sex involved, the writers have her mother sleep with the captor to get a DNA sample. Step back for a moment - who but a sadist would find watching any of this entertaining? My old history professor used to say that Roman society lost its way when it replaced the dichotomy of "good/bad" with "exciting/boring". I think we are well past that point as a society...
  • This brutally honest episode may shock and appall but takes a heads on look into one of the more gruesome sides of human behavior.

This episode is one of my favorite; perhaps my all time favorite thus far of the CSI series.

Reality is that human beings and their behavior runs the gamut from wonderfully beautiful and spiritually inspiring to utterly dismal and grotesque. Unfortunately as a race the latter has seemed to make the most vivid marks on our history as a race.

The plot brings back the controversial Lady Heather, who CSI has portrayed very well considering the taboo's toward S/M/B/D behavior in our society. Lady Heather's daughter is found dead of extremely bizarre means and Lady Heather becomes more then just an S/M/B/D cliche; she is portrayed as a grieving mother and one who is very human. Her daughter has become the victim of a modern day Josef Mengele. Lady Heather's humanity is displayed in a number of ways; her loss is obviously painful and her humanity is displayed by her almost zealous desire for revenge.

Grissom is there for her and the depth of their relationship thickens because Grissom, being the ultimate humanist can cast aside any taboo's and prejudices toward her because he is that; a humanist.

Don't forget as well that a society allowing the barbaristic medical torture of thousands of people existed very successfully not that long ago and lesson is; it's not that far away to repeat itself. And Lady Heather's revenge is sweet and desperately full of total and utter pain almost beyond comprehension.
  • Perfect. One of the best episodes in this season.

Lady Heather returns when her daughter is found dead. Grissom's team have the case. Lady Heather's daughter, Zoe, turn up to be used for experiment. This episode is quite disgusting. Zoe chewed her hand, she is hairless, half-naked and she has an eye that not belong to hers. Then later on, we found two men that have been forced to "stick" together...Yuck!! Totally disgusting, yet but good. I love this episode. Lady Heather have to forced herself to sleep with the doctor so that she can get his DNA. I have to admit it is a smart way but it's disgusting and weird. Just another good episode. I love it.
  • Frankly the best episode ever.

In my own personal opinion this is the best episode of the season, in a matter of fact it's the best of the entire show. The role played by Melinda Clarke (aka Lady Heather) is the best role ever written for the show. I loved Lady Heather, she is so sexy, enigmatic and intelligent that she is just amazing. Melinda Clarke's acting is outstanding especially in this episode, she just steals the show. The case in this episode is so impressive and unbelievable. this is a great example of why CSI is one of the best shows on today's tv.
  • this episode was one of the best of CSI. and given the extremely high quality of the show, that's saying a lot.

this was one of those storylines typical of CSI, that makes you think about exactly what we, as humans, are capable of. last year, i had to do a research project for english class over the medical experiments performed in auschwitz and other concentration camps. i knew the information i found would be painful, but i had no idea what i was in for. the examples shown in this show were actually performed many times by the nazi "doctors", along with other unimaginable atrocities. kudos to CSI for tackling such a gruesome topic that many people may not have been previously aware of.

i absolutely loved it even though it was very hard to watch because of all the gore, especially finding those conjoined twins!! it made me cry at the end when lady heather broke down and grissom comforted her!! love this show so much because i just love Grissom he\'s the cutest thing in the world with his obssession with bugs!! this show proves thats it\'s alright to be a geek and love science. This is an especially fantastic episode because it shows a brill plot and some fantastic acting, from William Peterson and Melinda Clark! WOW YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT
  • When i say painful to watch, i don't mean it in a bad way. I mean the parental advisory warning at the beginning was there for a reason.

This was one of the most dark and disturbing episodes of CSI to date. If you are one to get easily affected by horror movies and such, this is not one for you. There is a lot of pain and suffereing endured by the victim, Zoe Kessler (Lady Heather's daughter), and it is depicted very well in the show. Lady heather also makes a successful return to the show, with her finest moment being at the end during the massive climax invovling herself, the suspect (Wolfowitz/Sneller), and Gris. The story was also pretty well done, but i think they tried to force the twist a little too much with the whole identical twins thing. I feel that it's just been done too many times. I understand that there probably wasn't a whole lot they could have done in terms of a twist, but i think if they just abolished Snellers character and just had it more straight forward, the harshness of the content and the grim aura would have been more than able to carry the show. Once again, not for the faint hearted, but if you like to be mentally challenged, this is a must watch. A good episode that left a lingering effect on me (which is rare).
  • This time an old friend of Grissom needs help to solve the murder of her dauther

This is the third time we've seen Lady Heather, and each time we get a greater glimpse into the soul of Gil. I know this show is about the cases, but how could getting to know the personal side of William Petersen's character not intrigue you? Maybe it should be another spin-off instead — "The Secret Lives of Gil Grissom" — or something cheesy like that, but I say keep bringing Lady Heather back. We need her, not only to learn more about Gil, but because she's hot and owns whips. (Oh c'mon, who doesn't need a little freaky-deaky in their lives now and again?) It's a shame, though, that every time we encounter her, it's because someone died. This time it's her estranged daughter, Zoe. Sara described this investigation perfectly as being "on the train to Crazyville." We find a doctor who freezes his own brother, performs genetic modification experiments on humans and cultivates corpse flowers to hide the stench of decomposing bodies. That's one to look for at your next flower show. I swear I'm going to have nightmares for weeks in which people pull out my eyeballs. As long as there's no lobotomized pirate in them, I think I'll be OK. If not, I'll just look up Lady Heather to take away my pain.

I have only been tuning into CSI every now and then after a string of episodes which were rather boring and unoriginal. This episode though reminded me of why I liked the series when it began.

The storyline was original and moved with great pace with plenty of twists and turns. The story details were dealt with well and the Nazi/Jewish part slipped in flawlessly.

For once it had an unpredictable ending that was cliche. I hope they go back to making great episodes like this again.

Very much recommended. Great, wonderful, much more what you want from this series again.

When I heard Lady H was coming back I was mad, very mad indeed. TPTB had really messed with G/S shippers all season and bring back Lady H was not the way to keep them watching the show. The only reason I watched the show was to continue to claim that I have seen every CSI episode.

The case was pretty alright. It had the power to be better but it wasn't and there is no way to change it. I found the end scene the most interesting with Lady H whipping the murdering evil guy. How is that she always managed to get to places before the CSIs? She must be a better detective than they are. If she wasn't in jail now (I think, we never found out what really happened to her) she really should consider being a detective, just far away from Vegas so Grissom can't get distracted... Not that he would but certainly some of the other guys (Hodges comes to mind) might. The only good part of the episode was the most certain end of the Kessom (did I even spell that right?) relationship. Grissom said stop, now there is no way to revisit the relationship. YAY!

  • I thought that this was a very interesting episode.

I thought that this was a very interesting episode. Some may have thought that it was a little grusome, which is true in some respect but it made an interesting and neccesary change. This is just one other reason why i love watching CSI, there is always something different, there is never the same story line week after week (like in CSI:Miami where there always seems to be gun crime), i thought that this was by far one of my favourite episodes dicpite the fact that i would like do see a little more of the lives of the characters, surely they do have a life outside of the lab?
  • Lady Heather\'s daughter found dead with her head shaved and marked with a number that reveals her as one of the test subjects of a fanatic Nazi scientist.

Heed the warnings. The goriest episode to date, definitely not for those with a weak stomach. Think mad scientists, organ experimentations and Nazi torture chambers, you have this episode. On top of that, we have twists upon twists where the suspect is capable of being at two different places at once, make your guess. Lady Heather shows a very human side of her as mother losing a child, crying for vengeance and justice. For someone who do not have the technologies of a crime lab behind her, she figured out the killer before the CSIs did. It\'s an episode that\'s unique to CSI:Las Vegas that makes Las Vegas different from the other CSI spin-offs.
  • No wonder people shout "We want more Heather!"

Jerry Stahl is known for the eccentric and freaky episodes that he writes. And this is one of the best episodes he has ever written yet. He makes it a point to show the side of Las Vegas that has been untapped and he does so effectively. He was the brains behind the creation of the dominatrix Lady Heather, and the people were intrigued by her mystery, spirit and her intelligence and people wanted more of her.

The Lady Heather scenes are still the strongest moments in the episode. Melinda Clarke breathed life into Lady Heather's character and she portrays her so well.

The fast paced mystery and Sneller's Nazi like crimes adds to the dark mysterious appeal of the episode.

  • Yet another brilliant episode from Mr Bruckheimer. He has taken real life and made the details accessable to many who would otherwise have been unaware of the enormity of the situation.

When I sat down to watch episode 15, of what has been a truly fantastic series, I was intrigued as to the reasons behind the 'viewer discretion' warning. As it turned out, the episode exceeded all expectations. Although aware of the happenings of the Second World War, I had previously been oblivious to many of the more extremem goings-on. I have to say that I completly disagree with those who say that CSI should be more fictional or less gorey; the whole point of a series such as this is to give as true an account as possible of the workings of Forensics units across the globe. To make light of the situations that they are dealing with would be in a way misleading. Obviously there have been a few episodes which deal with things that are a stretch of the imagination to say the least, but this sixth series I feel has been the best yet because of the nature of the programmes. The reappearance of old characters, in this case Lady Heather, is a tribute to the thought and preparation that goes into each of these episodes. Congratulations team on yet another gripping series - may there be many more!
  • Grissom and Lady Heather: CSI needs to go further into developing these two as a team.

Loved the fact they brought Lady H in episode 132,back. I think we should be seeing more of her on this show. She and Grissom would make an awesome match not only as a twosome, but as a "team" in solving crimes. She is portrayed not only as "sexy" but most definitely highly intelligent and knows people well. Plus, everyone knows that a couple of the other female CSI have eyes for Grissom, so this type of relationship would truly add to the show. I have never been disappointed in any of the episodes. CSI is truly a winner.
  • I find it amusing when people say a cop show needs to seem real or that it should stay away from gore.

    9.0
    "Superb"
I read other reviews and want to fall off my chair. Why should any show, cop show included always be based on reality? God save me from reality TV. I want the absurd, the totally freaky; it reminds me that there is still some originally thinking out there, that someone has imagination. So what if it makes little to no sense, it is fun to watch. And if it grosses you out take a chill pill and go watch American Idol.... reality at its worst. I would rather watch CSI at its worst when it makes no sense, TV is about escaping from reality, and if I really want to see real foresnic experts in action I will call the local cops and ask to go on a drive along. CSI does not need to make sense or be real, it needs to be good television.

  • Wow! Great episode.

One of the best episodes, ever. This episode was unpredictable and riveting. There better be a rerun of this episode. I was on the edge of my seat. It is always nice to see "Lady Heather" return about once every season. There is definitely an intense attraction between her and Gus. I hope she keeps returning!
  • It's always nice to see Lady H back.

    "Superb"
This episode was a great episode but I expected it to be better that this, it's always nice to see Lady Heather back, she's an interesting and great character, so it would have been a better idea if this episode had a second part.

There were alot of gory bits in this episode, especially in the beginning with the whole eye thing. But that is what attracted me to CSI in the first place.

This episode mostly focused on Grissom, Nick & Catherine, I missed the other CSI's especially Greg & Sara.

Lady heather sleeping with her daughters murderer just to get a DNA sample from him was a little sickening, but her breaking into his place was smart.

The ending though could have been better. It leaves you wondering if Lady Heather will be back for another episode & if Grissom will cover for her or not, but I doubt it.

Finally, a good CSI episode! I was starting to get bored this season. As for some people who complained that the episode was a bit too gory! Hmmm well, whoever complains about the episodes being gory and dark they should probably consider start watching something else. “Little House on the Prairie” perhaps?

The entire series from the very beginning was gory! The whole CSI success is BASED on the camera zoom-ins in the human body and the very graphic sounds of the body parts or intestines in the coroner’s table. Someone complained about it! I don’t mind if someone doesn’t like an episode if the argument is reasonable, like: bad directing, bad story, unoriginal dialogues etc. But if they complain about things like that it annoys me. It is as if I’m watching Buffy and then I post a review complaining that there where too many vampires in the episode! It’s insane!

So when someone complains that the sounds where too disgusting or the blood was too much or blah blah blah all I have to say is YES we REALLY need to hear the sound of the eyeball as it is being removed from the skull. It’s a bloody autopsy! What should it sound like? Little birdies? And no the episode wasn’t shocking. Shocking are the war-related atrocities we watch on the news! CSI on the other hand, is just entertainment! Those who are being disgusted offended or shocked have the freedom to change the channel to Big brother.
  • A nice change of pace.

Everyonce in a while, a show needs to deviate from the norm. CSI did this very well. I wish they would have Lady Heather on there more. I am not saying there needs to be episodes dealing with her profession but maybe 3 or 4 episodes a year. Her and Grisson really click, and I know he cares for her.
  • CSI makes accidently pulling an eye out of it's socket amusing... to me.

    7.0
    "Good"
Heh... was I the only person that found the part with the eyeball interesting? Well.. personally I thought that they could have done a better job on it. I thought it looked pretty fake, but then again, I can honestly say that I haven't seen a really eyeball out of it's socket before- I'm not about to perform unnecessary eye surgery on some one just to see one. The autopsies were pretty good, but I'm no gore expert. Any how, this was not one of my favorite episodes, I think I was expecting more from the plot, and if the plot was the weak point, then it should have been a good episode for character development, something else to make up for it, but I also found that disappointing, of course, I think I was missing something... I'm not much of a Lady Heather fan, and that was probably what weakened the episode for me. Besides the gore, I thought that the little "lab downstairs" was pretty cool.. in a morbid type of way...

  • An episode for the fans...

    10
    "Perfect"
Lady Heather is most definitely a fan favorite character on CSI. I think the casual viewer would be turned off by this episode, but for the fans -- it was a classic. Heather and Grissom have such a complex relationship and the writers and actors (Petersen and Melinda Clarke) did an amazing job at delving more into these characters. The storyline wasn't the greatest we've seen in CSI, but the episode added to the development of the series as a whole. I eagerly await Lady Heather's return in another episode.
  • Gross and ewww

    4.0
    "Poor"
I didn't enjoy this episode. The idea of having Lady Heather back well... some people wanted it, some didn't. I didn't, but she was in this episode and so out of character. She was great in the other 2 episodes she was in back in season 2 and 3, but she wasn't interesting in this episode, in fact this episode in some strange way marked her exit out of Grissom's life and that was the only good thing from this episode. The rest was just gore and terrible to watch. Not one of those "sit back, relax and enjoy a good csi episode"..episode.
  • I understand why this one had the mature content warning. The site of victim number 20 and 21 was very disturbing.

Lady Heather returns for revenge. Her daughter is found in the desert, having been tortured and killed. Actually, her daughter escaped the torture chamber and died in the desert. The left eye in her head was not her own.

This was one of the few CSI episodes that creeped me out. Nazis do that to me I guess. I was going to describe what happened in the whole episode but I cannot think about it. It is unthinkable that a person could even think about doing stuff like this. I hope the writers were being creative instead of pulling ideas from real life. The Nazis performed horrid experiments on their victims, I do not think I need to see them reenacted on one of my favorite TV shows, even if by the bad guy. But I am glad that Grissom stopped Lady Heather from killing the creep.
  • In this episode Lady Heather is back, but the violence we’re confronted with is absolutely harrowing. I think this one is more for fans, than just spontaneous viewers!

    9.5
    "Superb"
This episode has a really cruel story. Lady Heather is back, but not the way I like her, but still she’s the only one, who reaches Grissom’s self control and the instinct about human nature.

In the beginning we see some unpleasant pictures about human eyes processed. That freaked me out quite a bit, especially when they took the second one out.

Then the story starts to gets more violent in every scene, and Lady Heather always was good for a surprise. Not only that she slept with the guy who killed her daughter, she also did the absolute right analyze about it. That rage is a thing out of passion not of control… There it’s the point again where you have to say about this woman: Wow, she’s so strong!

The investigation is going quite smoothly, but it headed to a very bestial ending, when they find the “chamber of experiments”. I mean the whole work of this guy orientated itself to one of the most horrible medical test series, performed by the Nazi’s in Auschwitz. That whole thing makes it psychological even harder to process it. Sure we knew from a previous scene, that the dead girl bit her own hand of, but finally they are showing it! That almost was too much and I almost turned of.

Then the biggest surprise is happening. Grissom finds Heathers necklace and rushes of to find her. I have to admit, that I thought she got kidnapped or is at least the latest victim, like it was the intention of the show. Only Grissom knew it better. She really got the guy and was torturing him!

I really would like to see more Lady Heather, but I know, that might even destroy her spirit.

My resume is a bit divided:

On one hand the story is great, on the other there’s all this really horrible violence that we’re confronted with.

I think that it was too much violence, but I so liked to see Lady Heather again and her absolute control and power, I have to give this episode a really good grade.
  • This episode was great. CSI is one of my favorite shows and I don't think there's ever been an episode I didn't like.

    9.1
    "Superb"
I never saw the original Lady Heather episode, so I'm not sure what her role has been previously but she seems really crazy. That scene at the end was insane, when she was whipping Leon Sneller. I was so surprised when we found out that Jacob Wolfowitz isn't really Jacob Wolfowitz and is actually his twin brother!! It was so sad when they found those twins in the basement with one dead and the other one on the verge of dying. The whole premise of the concentration camp thing was sickening and I can't believe people still have those ideas-it's 2006 people!!
  • Mutilated body found in the desert REALLY far from Vegas leads Grissom to another encounter with Lady Heather, a lady too wierd for words.

    6.0
    "Fair"
This way much too gory. Do we really need to hear the sound of the eyeball being ripped from the socket of the corpse?

Thw writers also got the geography of Nevada all wrong. Sparks is just east of Reno on I80, roughly 400 miles from Las Vegas, at least an 8 hour drive. No reason at all LVPD would get involved in a call near Sparks. This kind of blunder is just poor research.

Lady Heather should just go away. Her character is dull and predictable - if it's wierd, she's into it. Big deal. I think CSI is about to outlive it's interest.
  • Well, it was dark and twisted. A little too much to seem like a reality....

    7.5
    "Good"
I actually liked this episode. It was very suspensful. But, at times it got very dark and made the plot seem unreal. What are the chances of a twin freezing his other twin and keeping him in a cooler, while performing hideous scientific experiments in his basement? In the '30's and '40's, yes. But in 2006? Nuh uh.

I liked Lady Heather though. She was really tying to help out the Crime Lab. 'Cept at the end, becuase there she pretty much just flipped out.

No Sara/Grissom/Lady Heather love triangle either :( Sara only had, what, like 3 lines in the whole episode....
