A good storyline but one with a possibly fatal mistake. The story mentions Quinine, when I believe you mean QUINIDINE, not the same and they have opposite effects, so this may cause confusion if not corrected. 1 in 1000 get this and its mostly men!
Three comments, the middle one is most important. 1) Ice hockey aside, the camera work and episode were of good order and interest enough to get people to believe the storyline. 2 Points to re-watch 2) Fatal Flaw Quinine was mentioned as the drug that caused the death, I am sure that as a sufferer of WpW you mean QUINIDINE, these are not the same and I understand that they have opposite effects. I am not a doctor but if this is true- it needs correcting to avoid future confusion! 3) Best Goof This was when corpse (stretched out) laid dead on bench spectators seat being looked over in very solemn scene, is then seen to move throat and gulp. I told my wife all do this as theysettle after death- to cover up mistake, was I correct or was it just poor editing? Make your own mind up.
Anyone from Canada will know what I mean. This episode has always bothered me, and I felt I finally had to write a review after I found it on a re-run. Rec-Hockey is not a bunch of guys with big egos and too much testosterone trying to capture something that slipped through their grasp when they were younger because they could not get in the NHL. It is not that rough, and it is not that violent. Almost every single town in Canada will have a rink where hockey is played from ages 5 to 75. Rec hockey is a way to get together with friends and have fun. It's not competitive to any extreme, least of all murder, that is just plain pathetic.
Sure, there is the odd guy who likes to think he's hot sh*t, but there is not that many of them.
I love the series, but it's an American show. And football is the sport that everyone plays. Hockey is just the 'violent' sport that the weird northern neighbors play.... please... If i didn't love this show so much I might have stopped at this episode.
Pile up on boy from a hockey team. The blades from the crime scene showed blood spladders indirectly that the woman did it. Woman threw up and said she had shrimp last night. but 6-8 hours food posioning starts to nausiate. Stock brock w/ multiple partners. Woman was a mother-to-be. Now that Terry Rivers had a heart problem doc gave him quinine. Sax player dead. Died of cocaine. 91% pure cocaine which is VERY rare. Found needle and womans scarf w/ the needle. Man covering for the woman. Bartender belied to kill the 2 costers meant they had cocaine. Mans head over hills for Lily. Lily was a drug user.
Well this was certainly a good episode. I liked the case of the hockey player best though. It was funny when Greg was talking to Sara about team sports, I must admit that I never saw him as a sports type person. Grissom, interested in beauty since he met Sara, so sweet. The look an Sara's face was priceless, I don't think she believed what she heard from Grissom.
Nick and Warrick's case was equally cool. Well, the entire thing was kinda boring but I liked the end when Nick played cards with his friend. Another nice touching moment from the episode. Pretty good episode when you think about it with just the right amount of GSR.
Loved this episode. Not only was the plot line good, but the GSR was great. I thought it was so sweet what Grissom said and how Sara reacted; it was great. Now all i need to do is keep writing random words so i can submit the review. Oh look, its 50 words bye bye now.
