Elizabeth Shue's debut on the greatest crime drama ever was not spectacular but it was quite entertaining. The first impression I received of Julie Finlay was a person who takes tremendous pride in her work and is very dedicated and meticulous. So she should fit in well with the team. However I am not too sure about this whole thing of Julie and DB having a troubled past. It seems a little contrived to me. Hopefully it will not hurt the series overall. The case in this episode was well done. It certainly kept my interest hooked. Overall the start to a new era in "CSI" was a good one. I just hope it's able to keep a good thing going.
